Firing off a dragon punch/cannon spike has been one of my biggest transition issues with the leverless. I think I've found my favourite method for now and I hope this video helps you to find yours too.

I believe the fastest input possible is 3 frames with CPT socd forward (hold), down (hold), up+k or p. There's a video on the Hitbox RU-vid channel demonstrating it.

Forward down up is what I go for, I found its the quickest method. Seeing as you can use your right thumb at the same time as your inputing your punch or kick.

Same as you. Forward, down forward, then up and punch or kick ate the same time.

I use them all to be honest, when Im in the neutral I usually use forward down and release + button. In some combos and especially when cancelling dp into super I prefer using down forward forward, for crosscuts I do a full quarter circle because Ive found the shortcuts to be unreliable depending on the distance and even the character you are playing against, but doing a full U by buffering forward first (like you do on stick) is what works best imho.

Dude, one question! it's my first time using leverless and so far I'm doing very well, but my left little finger hurts after long sessions. I think it's due to the bent position my finger tends to naturally assume and I see yours assume the same position. Is this a problem for you too?

No I haven’t experienced pain in my left little finger. Most of the time when I play, my left little finger is actually straight and resting on the controller. Have you tried piano technique? I find it difficult to do myself but a lot of people recommend floating your hands over the buttons rather than resting your palms/fingers on the controller. Or you can try flaring it out as though you’re holding an english teacup.

This one isn't reliable. If you are super precise with it and don't get the 1 frame down or 1 frame forward in between, the DP doesn't come out.

The problem for me is not doing it facing right, it's doing it facing left, because your ring finger gets involved, and that thing is completely useless. Facing right is easy stuff but I am ready to pull my hair out facing left..

Fastest way I can find is 6,3 then 8 plus kick at same time.

So you’re holding 3 after the 6, then let go and press 8 and kick?

@@VidVayder Don't let go any buttons. forward, down forward then up plus kick at same time. You can use it to throw fireballs as well. Down, down forward then up plus punch.

Haha right, I will try to mention it if possible in a future video. Well it still works for 2D games just not the cheeky shortcuts. It’s more down to the game itself and how it registers inputs. SFV and SF6 were made to be more accessible in that way, and many other modern fighting games are lenient too, hence why weird input shortcuts work.
