As most of you already know, I'm both a huge fan of Hiroyuki Sawano and AoT! That's why I keep making these, and why I don't have any plans to stop :)
"omake-pfadlib" is perhaps the most well known piano solo from the series, it plays during several important moments in the first season, as well as the end of the "No Regrets" OVA series. The latter is of course where the nickname for the piece came from, that's what it's mostly known as on RU-vid. Not dissimilar to how many people know "ThanksAT" as "Levi's Choice", though the reasons for the naming might not be the same (the soundtrack hadn't come out yet so I had to make up a title).
The piece itself as most piano solos by Sawano is easy to play, but keeps a dynamic tempo and was not recorded with a metronome, so it's not easy to recreate perfectly in a recording. I think I got all the notes correctly, but I knowingly played it in my own tempo as it's impossible to replicate another player's "free" tempo perfectly while having it sound natural. At least that's my opinion on it! But I made sure the tempo range used is almost identical. It mostly keeps between 60-70 bpm, but goes higher towards the end. Please let me know what you think! Of course I can't play as well as Sawano-san, but I hope I did the piece justice.
