Ok so little known fact that I saw somewhere, the patch that Levi gave the one guy towards the end was actually Petra’s Scout Patch. When he stopped to see her he took the time to take her patch. So when he gave the patch to that guy it just showed how much he truly cares about his troops.

I don't think it's bad you crying at the end, if anything it makes the reaction a lot better, really sweet and nice that you're invested in the characters, some reactors are so animated when watching this but love you getting sad, good watch

From this anime i kinda understand tho,... why some people got their emotions killed,.... because they've been through so much pain,.... too much that they lost their sense.................. their dying inside...to think that would need a lot to keep quiet and stand tall when victims family asking you about their daughter when you already know they're gone...

I've seen other reactors hesitant to like Levi at first too. I liked him since in his first scenes, when he is disgusted by the sight and feel of blood and guts on him, so you get the sense that he is a clean freak if they are going to focus on that. Then when his soldier is dying, they show Levi purposely disregarding himself as he takes the bloodied hand of his comrade to comfort him and honor him with his promises. Such an awesome introduction scene, I knew this character was going to be great an interesting to watch. RIP Levi's Squad.

That's very true. But for some reason, when I watched that first time I thought he was just acting. Because immediately after the comrade died, his voice calmed down (emotionless) and said "did he hear me?", like if it was an act. The sharp eyes maybe one of the reasons too.

I love the parallels between this episode and the pilot. When Eren first saw the scouts looking so gloomy and hopeless he couldn't understand why... But now he does, and watching that kid was probably like seeing his younger and naive self.

My favorite part about that scene is that it wasn’t in the manga. The writers for the anime were like “hey, you know what would REALLY make people cry?” And I use that knowledge to ease the pain.

I honestly cried too. This whole show is an emotional roller coaster! But I especially was affected by the death of Levi’s squad. I felt so attached to all of them esp Petra! So my reaction was basically the same as yours hey.

Levi is the GOAT but that does little to soothe the pain of this episode. He does a fantastic job of hiding it but you can just see in Levi that every death hurts him.

I liked Erwin's character after watching no regrets. the OVA just showed that this guy is a living legend. Levi became badass only because he took small part of Erwin's badassery

I'll be waiting for your reactions... and if you are okay with reading the manga I recommend you read the choice with no regret chapters afterwards... if you do you will know why :) BTW these chapters do not contain any anime spoilers... As someone who watched the anime and read the latest manga chapters, I really enjoy watching your reactions to AOT episodes...

SuperMechaFrieza and everyone here, I don't know if you noticed, but the patch Levi gave to the soldier that he claimed belonged to Ivan, actually belonged to Petra. There's a scene earlier where Levi exposes the badge of a soldier with the bite mark on the same place as Petra. Levi was planning on keeping the badge for himself (or give it to her family), but he lied to him to make him feel better after causing all the unnecessary deaths and loss. Levi is a lot nicer than he seems.

Especially when her father talked about her being too young to get married (seems like he picked up on her having a crush on Levi in her letters). It's also interesting how in Epi 1 we saw this scenario, but now we got to experience it after getting to know them.

The father specifically said she was too young to marry, so no the father didn't want Petra to marry Levi. They wanted it, he was telling Levi he didn't have his blessing yet.

Ralath Aka Defiant All he said was that petra stated that she was happy and gonna be devoted to him. That doesn't mean marriage, yet the father took it that way. He obviously wanted her to find someone and settle down. Petra, just like the other member of the same squad, weren't teenagers. They were of age and her dad was just worrying for her happiness.

The 2 episode "No Regrets" OVA will make you understand Levi much more. It also gives context to the little speech he gave Eren in the forest, about how he never knows if it's right to trust his comrades or himself...

I noticed something in your reaction... i think i may lived that too... when they were entering the city and the people started to comment shit to the squad, i was in rage like Eren, but i saw those grateful kids and my rage was blocked and i cried... there was a conflict in me... if i was eren i didn't know if i feel happy for the gratitude of the kids, of feel impotence beacause we failed and the problem was not solved at all...

And this is when SuperMechaFrieza became "best girl" = ) The last episode and this one are my favorite reaction videos, they have left an indelible mark ... Uh you might not have noticed whose body it was thrown out the cart. Levi is stoic and doesn't want to show the emotions he has inside. I've heard suggestions not to watch the OVA yet. I haven't seen it yet myself, also I'm only on episode 2 of season 2, not far ahead. I watched season 1 long ago then picked it up again recently.

Failure and heartbreak was what this episode was (T.T) ...Expect to experience more with this anime because given their kind of world, there will be more. Also, it's okay to get emotional and shed tears. I'm sure that's what Isayama wanted...

I didn't hate him from the beginning. The only time I got frustrated was when he beaten up Eren in the court room but since it was planned for helping Eren I was relieved.
