Man, I’ve heard so much about this soap but never got around to getting it. Thanks for the great shave with it today and description. Have a good weekend, dude.
I love this soap. I have this in the Omnibus base and it’s excellent. I find it better than excelsior and reserve. Jumped into my top 5 bases almost immediately. Great scent as well. I love the balm that B&M puts out. I have it as well and the EDT. Stellar stuff.
@@sethcollins5536 in my opinion it is better yes. Better post shave than Excelsior and Reserve base. The face feel is excellent during the shave as well.
I’ll give my 2 cents! They’re both great soaps, both S Tier soaps and prob my 2 fave bases along with Macduffs. For clean/fresh scents I’d go with lothur because their base is very clean smelling and allows for clean scents to cut through clear. They don’t really use butters as humectants and instead use dimethicone. Omnibus soap naturally has the creamy rounding bass notes that soften up scents. Omnibus is a little heavier feeling, lothur is just a notch turned down. Both perform indescribably from each other really. To sum up, it’s all up to the scent that sounds most appealing for you.
@@vadesnow3675 Thank you so much for taking the time to write such an informative response. Really appreciated. I bought both Lothur Calm and B&M Le Grand Chypre. Haven’t tried either yet. Still working on finishing up a tub of Highland Springs “Havana Vieja “. Looks like I made a good choice in terms of both bases being “S tier”.
@@robertross8565 You definitely made the best choices. Both soaps are easy to lather, very moisturizing/hydrating and crazy slick, really the best on the market. Both those scents are very good too!
