I think the "chance to plant food levitate" might be the chance the levitator has to act as if it was just given plant food, so instead of knocking back 1 zombie, it'd be able to affect a lot more.
@@jossuecabrera8611 I think It rather needs a damage buff, as It doesn’t even get to kill a cone head zombie at level 1, like, I get It’s a swarm plant, but considering how hard It Is to get, you have plenty of better options for damage out there
I feel the 50% instakill was way too much for a low cost Staller. For arena mode it doesn’t really bump it any higher than the other top tiers, and for anywhere else it becomes the meta
in every level where you can pant ahead you can easly just put 3 lanes of this guy at level 5 and they will never get behind you can combo this one with stalling plants and zombeaipod is my favorite combo, since it makes him inmune to any zombie that migth try to get behind and just gives you more time to summon even more zomboids
Yeah, that 50% increase felt like an unnecessary buff. Levitater was fine how it was tbh. The only thing it really needed was a cooldown reduction buff
for real dude. Electric blueberry garuntees a zombie killed every 12 seconds for 150 sun! that is enough to plant 3 LEVITATERS and expect it to garuntee to kill a zombie + 50% to kill a second one
I mean, it’s a 50% chance to instant kill 1 zombie every 11 seconds. Electric Blueberry has a 100% chance to instant kill very 12 seconds. Now granted, levitater has 1/3rd the sun cost and recharge, so it effectively will kill 50% more zombies when both are spammed as much as possible, as well as stalling zombies a bit, but arena plants have also just generally been stronger than old premium plants.
I love the way you present information in these videos; they're always fun to watch even though I don't know anything about or play PvZ. It's like listening to a friend eagerly infodump about something: it's entertaining even though I have no idea what they're talking about half the time. Your enthusiasm for the game really comes through
Intensive Carrot being free (even at max level) would increase it's utility a lot. It's really hard to justify bringing him in cause he already relies on you losing or having bad RNG, but he can synergize well with AoE plants like Electric blueberry and Caulipower that you really don't want to die due to large recharge.
I am glad that I was able to go on the spiritual journey within this video and experience the climax of the over arching story told with all of you. May the future allow the creator to forge a video even half as good as this one
Not gonna lie levitator seems extremly busted. Plants being able to attack zombies in the air (even if a bit broken) is a good change, as it doesn't make it so levels take 3 times the amount they should be; but 50%?!?? this feels like something that you'd get at it's max level; but from what I understood from this video that is not the case; imagine if peashooter was buffed to be his level 20 self.
wanna just say that I don’t even play PVZ2 nor do I plan to, I’ve tried playing it a couple times but it’s just not my kind of game, I personally prefer the slower style of PVZ1, but I LOVE these videos and I think it’s fun learning about all the plants and their intricacies and how to use them. I have a level 10 grave buster and never knew it could be planted on surfboards or backpacks. I am immediately testing this on surfboard heavy penny pursuit levels I can't believe the game doesn't tell you a feature like that
@@MelonLuminus2845They need to do her better. she's almost completely outclassed by Caulipower who is also a paid plant but instead of killing Gargs, literally brings them to our side and his psychic wave doesn't fizzle out if the zombie is killed early. At least like cherry bomb she does work well in tandem as both have long recharges and can insta kill a garg solo, and she's better in last stand levels due to her cost, but buffed levitator entered the chat....and now she lost her niche.
I have so much fun with Levitater ever since the first time it got buffed, it went from a really forgettable plant to a really fun plant to use, same with Tomb Tangler which has now much more chance to pull zombies under and cost 25 Sun instead of 50 Sun now. I would like to see some more plants receive buffs like Bonk Choy, give it the fireball projectile from the Plants vs Zombies 3 Beta version since that’s won’t ever be used now.
So hey, amusing fun fact. That thing about Tangler and Grave Buster gaining more targets is something other specific plants also have. Weirdly, Hot Potato gets the ability to melt Octopi at level 5. Even weirder is that if you have an active Peppermint on the field, she can do this with no leveling??? Peak game.
or a Caulipower buff or Blover buff. Like the mints they take off the powercreep lid and make it so blower gets it's ability to blow ANY zombie in the air off the map. XD Joke aside I think instead of being pretentious about such a niche plant, they should just have it so if blover blows a grounded zombie launched in the air, it just blows them to the back of the map instead of off the map completely. Really hate how they're trying to make people hate blover cause it literally can't be used outside of the few allowed cheese strats and stages with flying zombies.
@MarioMastar Tbh I hate how most people hate Blover because of its removal of all airborne zombies no matter why they’re airborne. Honestly the whole Blover thing I feel could be remedied by making there be more naturally floating enemies and/or making those enemies more common. I like Blover’s design, I think it’s cute, but the bad rap it gets for that one factor in 2 really makes things sour…
Maybe the Levitater is secretly more likely to target zombies that will drop plant food or less? (For some reason) Maybe there is a chance for zombies to instead be levitated for the 4 second plant food duration on normal activations? This game has some of the most undescriptive descriptions I've ever seen
I’ve been playing PvZ 2 for nearly 6 years. About six months ago, for the first time ever, I encountered a strange glitch that allowed me to collect gem rewards over and over again. It persisted for two weeks, even if I closed the game, it would still work. I amassed thousands of gems and upgraded many of my favorite plants. I also managed to get my hands on the Levitater once it was featured in the shop. I love that plant!
Chance to Plant Food Levitate actually means the Chance it has to work on Zombies (up to 40 Zombies, 20 before the buff) BUT the chance is calculated for every single individual zombie
god. vamporcini if buffed would make my defence look too strong I mean if I can get it set up quick enough or have enough to make it happen, I'll use a wasabi whip with an aloe in front then a vamporcini in front of that, the aloe's will end up having a gloom vine underneath, and the in front of the vamporcini is an iceweed basically if anything is lucky enough to reach the vamporcini, then it'll be pelted by the ice weed, vamporcini, gloom vine and wasabi whip all together to really make it worse I'll sometimes use an inferno to push them back or maybe a draftodil since that stuns/slows down floaters
Levitater is now a stalling and simply better version of electric blueberry which also costs much cheaper and recharges much quicker. BRO how dumb are they? I usually don't like calling people dumb but seriously, what were they thinking if at all?
I like the buff for levitater but I don't like the increase percentage for it to kill, because it took away what the plant has going for it aka stalling. For Tomb Tangler, i say it's kinda deserved. That thing was never good in the first place. Also, the gravebuster bug is funny though. It feels so PvZ2C.
It's really for making it viable in Arena and Penny's pursuit. Sure Penny's pursuit I can see pre-buff Levitator being a good option as you're not timed but Arena's strict time limit means every second you're not killing a zombie, you're losing points. All other potato mine plants have a good use in Arena as they can blow up and near insta kill most zombies. Even the OG one despite being horrible as well. Still I think 50% at base would be too much, but at the same time, it kind of has to be 50% to really make it worth considering for arena where speed is the key. Kind of like E Blueberry when she's allowed and Caulipower is banned (as he usually is for obvious reasons).
I mean it's not really "filler" when I can 2x and listen to this in the background; I don't even play the game but as a rookie game designer; this is fun to listen to.
i used to hate levitater so much bc it would negate instants, which i was super into at the time of its release, but hearing abt the changes i might get it when its next avaliable
As far as I can tell, “Chance to plant food levitate” means that this is how often it would be able to give itself the plant food effect, just like what Mega Gatling Pea does. It’s just worded weirdly, that’s all.
I think Levitater’s plant food is wail its active he flings a RANDOM amount of zombies, so the “Chance to plant food levitate” stat probably increases the chance for extra levitated zombies
