He's not going to have it all at Merc the way je does at Redbull. They'll reel him in. Toto is not your conventional principal, he's the owner too. Max will have to toe the line
Start to wonder if the softs in his last stint at silverstone were a set up too, and he just did lewis things to keep them tyres hanging on. When he first suggested foul play, I couldn't believe it, but as time goes by, actions from the team, comments from toto etc, it's not fooling anyone
They really weren't though, the medium was clearly the better tire and everyone should have known it. Boggles the mind how Mercedes and McLaren both got that call wrong. @@thurbine2411
by almost starting to cry when the day doesn‘t go as planned? „thanks for showing up“ wtf is that supposed to mean? as if mercedes was THAT bad so that he has to thank them if they don‘t stay home on a race day?😂😂😂😂
@@South4153 where is the almost crying? Thanking his team and engineers regardless of the atrocious strategy. Mercedes is throwing points away unnecessarily, but there is no point in airing grievances in public. Lewis is class, I can only imagine the crying if it had been Max on the radio in that situation.
@@saltpeter500 ofc you had to bring up max lmao. he‘s living in your head lulu fanboy. oh and to anser your question: just listen to lulus voice, he sounds like a hurt and scared little boy, whimpering and moaning😟😢
Lewis' self-control is beyond fantastic. I would be twice or 3 times more furious than Max in Hungary in his place. It literally feels like betrayal at some moments. Even though I don't believe in any conspiracies
What you term as a "conspiracy" is in fact, a strategy. It's no different than "icing the kicker" in US football. It's called a Psychological Strategy. And since you cannot see the strategy, I'll tell you the goal: reduce Hamilton's confidence (psychological) while trying to raise Russels's confidence, because he's likely to get his aggravating ass kicked by Antonelli next year. But Toto appreciates your support!
@@peachulemon Fortunately, Hamilton shouldn't have to say anything. WE say it for him in social media! Let's keep calling out Mercedes for their lack of insight.
@@craigpierce7996 they are people who never want to see a conspiracy because they believe in the mainstream narrative … for example they don’t believe that big pharma big food are looking for their own interests …. As Mercedes would do … so no need to convince them …we leave them in their naive believe …
Wtf not even racing for a podium, a strategy gamble that went wrong and he finished either 1 place down or at the same place he would have finished "hEArTHbREaking" fucking hell, bunch of weirdos
God, the questions Lewis ask are killer. It just makes the team look like idiots, you can just hear the hesitation from Bono after Lewis said "no, the car ahead". I feel bad for Lewis, he's still giving 100% but Mercedes are acting like McLaren 2.0
Next year can't come soon enough, no trust left in Mercedes for him as yet again they destroy a weekends hard work with a pathetic strategy. I can't wait to watch the payback next season.
The tire gamble sucked but he couldve done many more laps in P3. They pitted him early to release Russel probably hoping Woody would catch Max or something
Could have done more laps which in turn could have brought him out further up the field and with better tyres to the end. So might have been same result with poor strategy but would have been closer for sure
@@TheTruth-DealWithIt first off as you said he didn't start on it, and second, as far as I'm aware no one really pushed him, so he could easily nap on those softs. Ham had Georgie in his A, complaining in the first couple of laps, which is crucial regarding to tire lifespan as I know...
Thing is they do that with Antonelli too. He is not ready for F1 yet, but they try to paint him as the next Verstappen. He is gonna get crushed and lose all confidence.
Toto said, "It wouldn't have made a difference"... Uhm, Hamilton probably could've fought to stay on the podium!!! Or at least for 4th. That strategy was clearly a set up...
Mercedes is making a huge mistake. There is no sense in trying to put Hamilton behind Russel. It was the Mercedes team that decided not to keep Hamilton.
Mercedes are getting what they deserve. Lewis has been trying to tell them what’s up with the car for a couple of years but they didn’t listen. He spent a season basically driving a test car while Russel bigger it up thinking he was a better driver. Lewis made the absolute right decision to leave, and however the Ferrari performs he’ll have a better time there. Mercedes are now going to have a sub par number one and a rookie in their seats, I think they’ll be lucky to finish top 5 in the championship next year.
Toto the joke is on you. Gamble on soft tires( to attack the leaders in front ? ) is plain stupid & wishful thinking, but to box LH so early (to release GR)while the tires are still good is a stupid mistake. Amateurs!
The Life of a Brother never changes, Always fighting to be on a level playing field. But still we Shine and Smile. The levels that the Devil will go to to stop Destiny is Amazingly Insane.
How did Lewis go from p3 to p6 in that race, the screwed him with used softs and made him to way too many laps on the hards!! Ridiculous the strategy today.
Same, I have no trust in that team at all, everything looks so mismanaged atm. I had a lot of respect for Toto, but his antics this year is questionable. I feel like even GR is going to be shafted soon. Why is Toto openly begging for Max while signing Antonelli, it's such blatant disregard to GR. And the way he has been handling LH this entire year, do I even need to expand on that? Ffs...
I have a strong feeling that all the drivers have a word in the strategy they pick, and Lewis probably knew this whole thing will likely backfire. Since the beggining of 2022, starting on softs almost never worked out in the long run. They (including Lewis) chose gambling and they lost, end of the stroy...
@@staLkerhuhaving a word on strategy it's one thing, but the pit times are made by the people looking at the screens. It's tires weren't having considerable degradation yet. he was pulled in early out of an abundance of caution.
mercedes F1 team is a garbage, how they treated lewis this year is a disgrace.. its clear that mercedes did not want him to win, i dont know how lewis can be so calm with his situation this year but i hope he's okay.. his decision to leave that garbage team and go to ferrari is mega, at least ferrari have enough dignity to always treated their drivers with a respect.. verstappen + mercedes will be a spicy team, they will drown together
Does anyone ever consider that Lewis was part of the reason they gambled on softs because its more than likely a strategy he agreed with before the race. Whenever he has a bad race i never see any accountability from his end. People act like he has no say in what tire to start on.
Another possibility is that the team is willing to take a higher risk when they deal with a driver on the way out. So, for example, instead of playing a safe strategy to get a podium position, they would push for a slim chance of winning the race at the expense of a much worse outcome if unsuccessful.
Gamble? It was done on purpose...business as usual at Mercedes, just screwing Lewis over every race. Can't wait for Lewis to leave this disaster behind
You think any driver in there normal mind will trust Toto Wolf? He had them to Lewis early so George could get the position and get the podium spot , however I like how Lewis let Piastri pass with no problem to take third from George. No podium for stupid George
Starting on softs was some bs Mercedes are literally trolling Lewis atp next year can’t come sooner. It doesn’t even matter if it’s better or worse, Important it’s not rigged
Sadly, it feels more like “And still we sink” rather than ‘rise’ these days with Hamilton at Merc. Hopefully Ferrari will produce a weapon for Hamilton next year.
Norris, Max & boy George finished the race as they started while Lewis finished in P6. Lewis was the only driver who started the race on soft tyres. Merc is SABOTAGING LEWIS and it's quite obvious.
I'm not a Lewis fan, but man it feels bad when a 7-time world champion is given a bad car and strategy and can't even conpete for a good position, it's all evident with his voice
If I were Petronas or Ineos I would be asking Mercedes corporate what on earth are they doing as I would not want to be associated with such a devious and vindictive team. I'd be very tempted to follow Lewis to Ferrari as a tactical marketing move.
I think the only thing that make sense is that they did it to protect Russell from piastri beacuse it make no sense to start on soft on this track and you neither in first place so you can use those tire to create gap or you much faster than the people ahead so you can pass them Even if an early safety car you would need to use hard tire anyway so using medium or soft, it didn't matter for an early stop
everybody knows what's going on Mercedes have a losing mentality, now that Lewis is going. what you must realise is when he goes to Ferrari he's not going to have any of this bullshit, warriors on the app and with Lewis behind the wheel of a Ferrari, is only going to be faster and stronger with no politics. thoughts are for Ferrari.
I would be very upset if I was Bono but with the new job I guess he has to keep his gob shut. Yes they have offered him a wonderful opportunity but to see the team screw over your closest colleague and friend wow thats some sell your soul stuff right there.
Toto has lost all respect he comes on the radio all the time with his stupid platitudes after fucking up lewis race! Cannot wait for Lewis to be in the red car
It's an all-out Psychological War between Hamilton and Toto. Toto will win this battle (remainder of 2024) and Lewis WILL win the war in a Ferrari. Meanwhile, Mercedes is just practicing their race losing strategy for 2025. Too bad such a young kid (Antonelli) will have to suffer with this collection of losers. Georgie Boy has found himself a home with the rest of the Merc ass hats.
Some of you guys are at an alarming level of denial. There is no way in hell that Lewis gets the soft tires against his will. What was the plan, obviously? To attack p2 at the start and if that fails, then in the first laps. That was Mercedes proposal to Lewis and it's not a crazy one, if I do say so myself. You know who else thought that this is not a ludicrous plan? Lewis, who agreed to getting the softs for the start. Mercedes isn't out there to have their driver fail in the race, when they start from p3. Because when you sabotage your driver every race, then you will not find out which of these races your sabotaged driver could have won potentially. It's like Toto said: "get some therapy!"
@@RacingIslands Lewis should have made up places early on softs. he couldnt. so once they degraded he should have moved over. the question should be why they didnt ask for a switch. the answer is they knew lewis would throw a tantrum.
@@toby3701nonsense Russell was consistently 2 secs behind after losing DRS never once got back into DRS behind Lewis again. Piastri was catching Russell. How can Russell not catch and overtake 19 lap old scrubbed softs?? You’re chatting nonsense
Drive over discarded rubber from tires. hope it sticks to your own tire, helps to bring the car's weight up. For when the F.I.A weighs the car. It complies with the regulations.
I feel for Lewis, he’s made a really short term decision if he don’t win in 25 he won’t ever again. The Mercedes engine for 26 will be more dominant than the 14 one.
Interested in why you think the 26 Mercedes engine will be dominant? Agreed engine regs will change but the push to up the % of hybrid power is going to affect delivery of that power massively and that in turn is likely to heavily influence the aero design (which is also changing significantly). I have no idea who will be winners or losers but interested to know if you have any inside information.
You never really know what is going on in all the factory’s, but there is Ann innovation that will not be matched conventionally. It would be unbelievable if more than one team have found it
Teams do this to make the driver they want faster simple George shouldn’t. Of been no where near him he companies Lewis needs to speed up I’m faster after that he couldn’t catch Lewis at all and stopped far to early
they screwed Lewis on purpose it is obvious that the relationship is broken. Lewis should return the favor and just drive slow until the end of the season and then off to Ferrari. The Tifosi's can't wait.
They gambled by putting him on used Softs to start, which didn't amount to anything. He ended up pitting much earlier than others, putting him out of sync with the majority of the field.
@@djst3rling863 considering the track temps, I thought he was on Mediums or Hards and George was the opposite. When Toto said they split the strategies, pre race, I didn’t think it would be Softs.
yeah...thats all they did: show up...gambling with a man's career....Im never buying a Merc- cant turn a pedigree ram into a sacrificial lamb like this...that Russel ur betting on by gambling with LH will be just another Botas in 2 yrs...zero supporters...no 1 likes him, anyway
People acting like mercedes didnt blow races for Bottas when LH was their golden boy. Now he's leaving, and isnt being prioritised anymore, in a car that isnt good enough to win a championship, and youre all shitting on mercedes. 😂 Its sport, not personal
Honestly Toto was banking on a safety car and it just didn't pan out. If I were toto, given that Singapore GP had a 100% chance of safety car, I would have given Hamilton the same strategy. Frankly any of the team principals/race strategist would.
@@RacingIslands it’s simple, you still need insurance for every gamble. Lewis had a stronger chance of winning because Lewis historically was always stronger on this track than George. Not to mention Mercedes knows they can’t win against mclaren’s rocket ship. I guarantee that if there was a safety car, Lewis would have a chance at P1 or p2 and could have just defended the whole race.
If you think Lewis didn’t have a say in the soft tire strategy, you’re crazy. For the first time ever Norris gets a good start from pole and didn’t get into a battle with Verstappen, which would have given Hamilton a chance to jump them both. Had that happened, and Lewis comes out ahead, seeing how hard it was to pass, he’s now controlling the pace and in the best position he can be. It didn’t work obviously. That’s the gamble and he was well aware before the race.
Why did they pit him as early as they did you mean? Not sure. My guess is they didn’t want to wait too long with the undercut being powerful and missed the mark by going too early. Even best case he probably ends up only P5.
Hamilton is such a spoiled diva. Mercedes is the only team that has to apologize to their driver for the car not being the best - even though it's one of the best!! How ridiculous is that?!? Can you imagine Haas, Williams, Aston Martin etc. apologizing to their drivers after every race?!?
On one hand, sure. On the other hand, if you were one of the most accomplished drivers not just on the grid, but through the entire history of the sport.... I feel like you also would expect an apology after you are given a horrible strategy while driving a shitbox.
Toto don't be upset, already you are preparing the seat for fucking another driver.. Ferrari will shine again, and we will watch your retirement interview 😂😂😂
Every driver fights the team sometimes. And so does Hamilton. But a good team operates on trust, when the team tells you to box, you box. Or you better be damn sure you've got the full picture in your head. Which you never have 15 laps into Singapore.
