Strategist of the day: Vettel Driver of the day: Vettel Engineer of the day: Vettel Hamilton of the day: Hamilton Bottas of the day: Bottas Pit Crew of the future: Vettel GP2 engine of the day: Leclerc
Albon's race engineer telling him "Don't worry you were in traffic so it's not all your fault. Anyway Vettel managed to do 37 laps with soft tyres" is like saying "Don't worry it's not your fault. Anyway you suck"
No. It was him saying, 'Don't worry it's not your fault. Another driver on exactly the same tyres drove 37 laps so there is a serious issue with our car.'
@@Drummer1000George It was Christian who said the nice part, while then his engineer came to screw him to basically tell that you suck because Vettel managed it better than him.
@@pyzelphantom4355 That's not preferential treatment? When LEC retired and Seb was still there the Ferrari pit crew went home. That's why they couldn't pit him. They have that little respect for him
Red Bull: "Just drive, follow our instructions and don't worry about the strategie. We have everything under controll." Ferrari: "Seb! Can you please help us with the stratgie. My calculator just shut down. What is the colour of your car again?"
vettel is literally playing f1 2020 my team career mode lol edit: people replied to me that the comment is copied from other videos., sorry i didnt know that, and seb's radio just remind me of myteam career mode
On top of driving a freaking F1 car, Seb is thinking about others strategies, his own strategy, managing his tyres, telling the engineers what to do and figuring out if he needs to push or not, seriously Ferrari team is joke, they should hire me, I'm an idiot and useless too
"After the recent events at the Spanish GP, Ferrari has decided to promote Sebastian Vettel to the role of Chief Strategist for the remainder of the 2020 F1 Season"
no radio until late 80s, the drivers managed the race and cars and it was much better in so many ways,,world champion drivers do not need radio, that is what Schumacher and hakkinen did, they where told when it was the best time, to pit,,they drove as fast as possible for fast a few laps before pitting,,,put new tires and took the lead if einough terrain was covered,, Schumacher was the best at making fast laps when needed,
@sennadasilva11 Nope, that's very much you. Grosjean had no idea, Kimi was there. What's more to even suggest that Grosjean would do it to a former teammate of his, is frankly absurd.
@@Orcawhale1 If Grosjean didn't have the slightest idea Kimi was behind him on the track's longest straight (if not the longest) then he sincerely doesn't deserve to drive in F1. If he moved just a tad more to the right he could have send Kimi on the wall...
@@Orcawhale1 There is no way you don't know that you are in a close battle with someone. It was not an opportunist's move on a difficult corner, but an expected overtake at a drs zone straight. As for the teammate thing, F1 is a competitive sport, I mean even Schumi did something similar to Barrichelo once. I kinda like Grosjean, but he is criminally dangerous more often than he should.
Albon: I don't know how to manage these mediums, it's so hard Albon's Engineer: Vettel did 37 laps on SOFTS! Great teamwork here, boosted his confidence
stroll was demanding ice cream and his engineer was having none of it and demanded him back ice cream as well. That was a solid response to the childish lance
@@wytchblade2879 Yeah, but because they said the team shouldn't aid the drivers. Which meant it should've been the drivers call. In Kvyat's case it would've been, so no penalties there
Wytch Blade as I understood, Kvyat wanted to start with medium tyres and switch to optional (soft) tyres at the end of the race. I guess, that was the reason why he blamed his engineers.
Wytch Blade so even with penalties they took some points. On HAAS! And Alpha Tauri more faster then Haas. Dany could easily took much more point there.
I voted for Vettel as driver of the day and that’s the first time I’ve ever voted because something inside of me told me he needs this boost he deserves it
That’s the difference between qualifying p8 (or whatever he was) and qualifying p3 while being p2 after the first corner.. Albon has no chance with these poor quali results.. the RedBull Must be terrible to drive tho..
They threw Albon in there to test the Hards to see if they were drivable, they don’t care about Albon it’s crazy... they already destroyed Gasly’s reputation
@@gateaumaki3372 bro, they are doing everything to get albon back on top. including returning engineer Simon Rennie back to the wall to help alex... i think it probably took some persuading cause that guy was working a nice steady job at the factory now... but they got him back cause he knows albon from the past. why would they do that if they dont care? also yea sometimes you have to be guinea pig and go on a compound a couple laps earlier. pro tip..be better if you dont want the short stick of the strat.
**Albon feeling depressed on not knowing how to manage the tyres** Race Engineer: Hey, did you know that our previous 4 time world champion managed to do 37 laps on soft?! Albon: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@ebs1895 tbh. He sounded dishearted (even more) after that. He barely manages 7 laps while someone on front of him did 37 on the fucking softs, add to that the 3 laps in qualifying those said tyres done the previous day.
@@Blafard666 And the bullshit nature of the circuit itself. Lap after lap, you're getting fucked over by the dirty air or getting stuck behind another car because there are no overtaking opportunities around Barcelona, and there's nothing you or your team can do about it. -You forgot to connect the seatbelt -Yes, confirmed -Is the seatbelt, is it on now? That was nice of Albon's engineer to point out Vettel's mega stint on the Softs while his driver is saying he couldn't make any tyre last this race. Sure he appreciated that.
Albon now quitting any attemp to improve, while Ver getting good results, also complaining about "dangeorous" driving while being behind and trying to go to the outside...
@@AZTCuRe quitting? He just sounded puzzled and frustrated which is understandable when you tried your best but still didn't get the result you wanted. And the complaining about dangerous driving every racing driver does that. Even Sainz said he would've done the same just to be on the safe side incase he can get some advantage or so forth out of it.
*Drivers when racing their old teammate's* : "We still have the greatest of respect for each other" *Kimi racing his old teammate* : "What the **** is that idiot doing!?"
@@prateekgang4237 No that was 100% Grosjean's fault, he changed his line very close to the braking zone. And he's done that a few times already this year.
@@prateekgang4237 That's how you overtake, stay in slipstream as long as possible then move out, otherwise the dirty air will slow you down and you can't overtake. The thing is Kimi already moved out to overtake when he turned into Kimi
Should've given the full radio for Leclerc too since Ferrari screws them both. Leclerc's engineer left him for like, 10 seconds while after he asked what he should do after the engine died. What a buncha morona
Mercedes and Red Bull's engineers all have such crucial information lined up right in front of them, sometimes updating the drivers exactly what to do unprompted. Seb's engineer had to be instructed by him like a dad guiding his son for math homework.
@@Oddhitman They let him hang for three laps first and then ask him if he can go to the end. Don't you think they should have the numbers lined up by then to know if that's even possible at all or not?
@@sigursberget3777 Only because it was a crappy car. When the car improved in 2016 Ricciardo easily beat him. He edged Ricciardo...not decisive like 2014 Red Bull season.
I love how Lewis doesn't even sound excited when he wins anymore. He treats it with the same enthusiasm I treat talking about going home for the day after work.
You are both right, but what I mean is that a lot of drivers can hide it. Not show how mad they are. Hamilton after losing (even when being 2nd) just looks stupid when he doesnt want to talk, pour the champagne and has a face like someone killed his whole family. He is great driver with great car but his behavior is...
Red bull did albon dirty. They pulled him in to swap to Hard tyres just to see if it was good enough for verstappen to use. Putting him far back into traffic. Then they pit him for the mediums but by that time it was already too late
Thing is, RB is getting second place in constructors obviously so if they must use albon as a guinea pig for verstappen strats they Will do it because driver championship is up for grabs 30 points is nothing... 1 crash 1 dnf could change everything...
@@emanuelribeiro6742 Every time the team . Will let him experiment with alex. But many mistakes follow It has never been fair Because of the RB team car Made for Max.
@@thaifoodbyeasy6459 yeh because max is the number one driver, albon is not even qualifying in the top 5.... why would they make albon driver number 1 when he can't even get his shit together ?
@@Septimus_ii he would have been on new tires and also lapped everyone in the end. Think he would have passed them. But bottas would have been a danger then. He would have been 3th but i dont know if he would have been 2nd.
They cut out even more. Vettel had to ask them what time the other cars are doing as well. And the he told them that they should compare the times and tell him.
Because there's a thing known as editing, because you guys can't hold attention for more than a minute. And even that's a stretch for some of you guys.
It's was almost heartbreaking listening to Albon. Knowing that Red Bull aren't afraid to remove a driver, there must be a huge range of emotions going through his head after every race, when he sees how well Max does. I really hope he finds whatever it is that he's missing, to be able to hang with Max
Unfortunately I think it's Max's style of driving that he can't imitate, and the car is built to be driven in Max's style. It's the same reason (probably) why Gasly was worse in that car as well. I don't think they will swap Albon for Gasly again(mid season) as they are both about equal in the same car, so it would just destabalize both teams.
Imo he would be really glad to have his ToroRosso/AlphaTauri seat back. Yes, 2nd RB seat might give you hope for podium or even wins, but in turn you gonna have to pay it back with massive frustration
the RB engineer wants to double down on Albon.. Horner was trying to be nice but that guy just had to drop in " Vettel did 37 laps on softs..." when Albon was already frustrated of his tyre management. Vettel to RB confirmed.
I´m pretty sure Vettel is going to RP since Lance Stroll hasn´t been confirmed as a driver for 2021, His father might be an investor but the choice is not in his hands, and Lance curiously said this some days ago: "There is a working relationship and a father- son relationship, if i get out of the team there would be no hard feelings, it´s just business and that´s just how things are sometimes, I would accept it without complaining, just pass the page and fight to live another day".
"They edited the radio message, which was way longer. The engineer was actually telling Albon the race results, but whomever made this video cut out P1 through P6 and went straight to Vettel on P7 and the bit about him doing 37 laps on soft tyres." - Comment by another guy on this vid. Still, poor Albon, almost cried there :c
Seb, Lewis and Max has all more experience in F1 than Alex. Alex is still a rookie really. Also, all those 3 have a super natural talent for tire managements.
@@Proxylamborg the message fro simon about vettel's mega stint was way later after a couple of radio messages (race rundown) and not straight after the words from horner. If you don't want to trust me fine, go watch that moment after the chequered flag, and go on Albon's POV with comms on, u'll hear the race rundown done by simon.
@@robloxboss7169 what does the name of the car matter, if i were to tell somone from the 90s, that williams is on 0 points after 6 races they would quetion it, while now thats normal. you see shitty performances from teams with big names time and time again and that ferrari is just a totel shitbox. lonly because they were dominant 15 years ago they arnt good now.
RB Engineer : Vettel managed to do 37 laps (39 actually) on softs. Albon : There's no way, ours were out after 7 only. Me : MORE RESPECT TO YOU MR. VETTEL. ❤️
A part of that could be him being tired after one of the hottest race days ever. But the race was definitely a struggle for him from the moment they pitted him
Unbelievable how Webber was so much better than most of these replacements Red Bull has been getting, only one that could match the car has been Ricciardo and Verstappen.
You don't want Kimi speaking for you during judgment, don't joke about this anymore. There's only one saviour and intercessor between God and man, and that is YaHaWaHshi The Christ.
Yeah lets just go back to Bridgestone's and have max 1, sometime even 0 pit stop races. During Bridgestone era the only reason why people pitted was to refuel. I agree Pirelli aren't in no way perfect, but at least it provides different strategies. And that was their maintask in the 1st place.
@@robloxboss7169 They are bad since their first comeuppance, KID. 2011 tires were awful and 2012 was the worst ever, they seemed to get better yet still need a lot to do to create a stable performance like Bridgestone or Michelin. If you say that Pirreli isn't bad, you're obviously not an F1 fan.
@@makoaki9071 gasly high is better than albon. At silverstone and baku he was up there while Albon was never shown pace unless there's safety car in there.
There are some seriously frustrated drivers. Can't imagine what it is like for the whole F1 crew to be doing all these 3 race back-to-backs. Hope they get a few days rest. And Seb and Alex get lots of love. Because their teams aren't helping.
This race is screaming one thing at us and that is "Drivers need more control over their strategies and tyres"... I guess that is where Lewis's strength lies that he always re-thinks the strategies and doesn't blindly follow the team's decision... They are in the car, they know better...
I think he resembles Lewis in many aspects. A rookie that starts off impressing since the beginning, beats all his teammates, and is able to win races pretty much every season. And like Lewis, I don't think he will stay in his current team for much longer if he understands that he won't be getting anywhere further there
Actually "Get in there Lewis" this day was to warn Hamilton to come back to the paddock because the race was over, he could have kept that pace till sunset
Everyone here commenting how verstappen is whining probably didn't watch the race where he lost 1.5s to bottas in one lap time. His tyres were actually dead and if he didn't pit, bottas would've passed him eventually.
