Reflecting on today's race, I feel no shame. At 57, I broke down crying. My son next to me cried, and so did my friends in the same room. The outpouring of emotion was overwhelming. It was eye-opening to hear Lewis Hamilton talk about how 2021 has impacted him. We often only see the driver on the track, but psychologically, 2021 has had a significant effect on his mental state, reminding us of his humanity. Despite these challenges, Hamilton proved his greatness today. His tire management was exemplary, outlasting everyone in front of him. He showed he still has it, even if he's not at his peak. Today was a blessing. Seeing him hug his father and his mother holding him tightly was incredibly moving. Friends have been calling me in tears. What a moment. Lewis Hamilton, the original GOAT. This was the most difficult race to watch while on board with Sir Lewis as anything could have happened given the conditions. This race separated the men from the boys. What an amazing win. Let’s be clear. Mercedes did not give Sir LH this win. Mercedes pit strategy did not facilitate it. Sir LH made the call in relation to the two pit stops based on his observation of track conditions. In this race Nature provided the equalizing conditions. The fastest car did not win this race. The best driver did. Here is what won the race for Sir Lewis aside from his phenomenal race craft: Just before he started the formation lap his father gave him a thumb’s up and blew him a kiss. That image stayed with me.

First ever time to a Grand Prix today, what an experience!! Huge congratulations to Lewis, so so pleased for him! As I was watching those last few laps from Vale corner, with Lewis leaving Norris for the win and Verstappen seemingly out of nowhere carving through and being maybe a lap or two short of snatching the win himself, an expression came to mind - “the cream always rises to the top”. Like them or not, Lewis and Max are a league above the rest of the grid.

The emotional messages... even Toto voice was shaking when being interviewed instantly after the finish which caught me of guard, whole team was happy for real, where it felt like first Mercedes win ever since 2021, as team was not as ecstatic when George won. But the best sight out of all was dad and son hugging, honestly was the most beautiful thing to watch, "when you win and when you lose".

Incredible race that shows the class of 2 amazing drivers: Max Verstappen and the mighty Sir Lewis Hamilton Verstappen maximised the car which just wasn't on the pace and did very well to close in on a win. Sir Lewis at 39 years of age still performing at that level is immense stuff. Such resilience after the last two and a half years Norris simply doesnt belong on the same table as those two. Yes Mclaren put him on the wrong tyres (they are notoriously poor on softs in race runs) but he also made a BIG mistake by overruning himself in the pit box, forcing his crew to reposition themselves and losing 2 seconds. That was crucial to Sir Lewis pulling off the undercut and taking the lead. Even if that mistake didn't happen, Lewis would've passed lando on track, i'm certain of that. Lewis' tyre management on those softs was mind blowing. I honestly thought Max had a great chance of taking the race win, but the master had it all under control Brilliant drive from Hulkenberg to finish 6th. Piastri possibly had a race win taken away from him but he was in the quickest car. Perez and Leclerc made shocking decisions to go on the inters when it was hardly raining.

Bro, the wife and I were in floods of happy tears! The last ten laps were the worst nail biting minutes of my life 🤜

It feels so surreal. I was crying at the end of that race. Especially after all that Lewis went through to stay in the game. It is clear Sir Lewis isn't in F1 to take part, he is there to win. This is a real life fairytale story, especially to do it at your HOME Grand Prix. You couldn't write a better comeback story. I can't wait when they turn the Life of Lewis into Movie.

If they didn't screw piastri for like the 100th time he could have fought Lewis ftw. Mclaren gotta start giving Piastri a little more priority, put their eggs in his basket for a few races and see if he can execute. Norris has executed only 1/6 race win opportunities this year. If piastri wasn't screwed several races I recon he could've won 2 of them for sure, he defo had a chance to. Also, props to Lance for a solid 7th place. He shows his skill in tricky wet/dry conditions, even finished ahead of Alonso who is no slouch in these conditions either, just look at Canada. Call me crazy but I like Lance. He has it in him to put up great performances, they're just so few and far between unfortunately. If he performed decently 1/3 races at least then he wouldn't receive soo much hate.
