Hi Lewis Making a comment from Australia re the double cut on the wide wallpaper-- the cutting blade cuts through both wallpapers-- the cutting blade would also cut the paint system thus altering the "surface tension " of the paint system, thus creating a weak spot thus possibly causing the wallpaper to lift the paint system as the wallpaper dries-- over here we have to place a thin plastic strip to where the cutting will take place the plastic strip stops the cutting blade from altering the "surface tension" of the paint system
Very important!! We are located in Monterrey Mexico and we have that issue theres no product where we can place it behind the sheets and mess up tbe paint and the drywall!!! Any advices????
Re altering the surface tension of a base substrate by using a sharp cutting blade when making a double cut on wide wallpapers - as mentioned here in Australia we use a thin clear PVC type product which is placed on the substrate ( wall ) to where the double cut would take place by using this PVC strip the cutting blade cuts through both wallpapers but does not penetrate the PVC strip ---- The PVC strip I use is 50mm wide the thickness of the PVC is 2mm thick hope this helps.
@@rogeliovazquez8087 no se si es demasiado tarde para ti pero no ocupas un plástico como te comentaron o comentaron aquí, es todo a base de técnica aprende la resistencia de tus papeles al igual al tipo de navaja que usas. Si sigues teniendo problemas usa un sellador base de acrílico en todos los Home Depot’s lo venden. El que vi en la página de Home Depot Monterey se llama sellador acrílico a base de agua 19 litros WB19. Le pones una capa de ese primer o dos y lo que hace este producto es que sella cualquier superficie en la que instales y cuando cortas tus doble cortes no se levantan y es una capa extra para las paredes que hacen posible que quites el papel si se daña sin dañar tus paredes.
The combinations of this wallpaper are terrible. I don't know who invented wallpaper to put one on top of the other and cut it off. If the wall is not perfect, the pattern on the wallpaper will not match.
