How many days are you running a week? How much mileage? I am a rising 9th grader running about 5 miles a day and doing one day of cross training for six days a week.
I would recommend putting in a long run every week and shortening the mileage on the way up to it if your doing about 30 miles a week then your long run should be 9 ish miles
Would be very interested to know your training program. Miles per week. Average pace for easy days, number of quality days, two a days or one day rest of week, etc.…
Breathing through your nose is a bad idea. You naturally breath through both your nose and mouth(that’s why it feels weird having a stuffy nose). Forcing yourself to breath through ONLY your nose and remove your mouth is only going to limit your oxygen. Your body is going to naturally breath the way that is most effective for your fitness and what you’re doing.
Generally breathing through your nose is for easy paces where I’m not agitated, however if your at a fast pace you typically breathe through your mouth and nose altogether as you get more oxygen
Solid! Dewa (14) and i (60😳) racing Kendall Mountain (13,340’) this Sunday in Silverton, Colorado…Dewa defending her 20-under title…it’s a half marathon distance so we’ll both be drawing inspiration from you guys! 🏃🏽♂️🏃♀️⛰🙏🏾
Aaron sahlman did, Colin had the bowerman mile at the pre classic the same day, lex raced at nationals in Alabama the same day, and Leo cut his season short
Just imagine a small school like mine having the benefits they have to travel everywhere. I mean having benefits doesn’t make u faster but it could help u experience different terrain.
Did I see Colin in there?!? Hey Leo you Gotta do ambidextrous golfing so you don’t twist your body one way Because your spine twists only one way and your body starts to become imbalanced slightly which throws your center of gravity off over time as your muscles become fixed..so again any Twistin sports throwing baseballs or golf do it the throw left and right to balance out your body …. A good way to think about it is in running you have to have equal power in your left and right …you jusT don’t run on one leg with more power
