Lex Luger Gave rick ross, waka floka, kanye , jay z, lil wayne, ace hood, etc...that trap style, he created this way of mixing the 808's, I remember in 2010 I used to see Lex Luger type only beats, then Young chop, jony juliano, kardiak, zaytoven, now we see 808 mafia, tm 88 and metrobooming...I like them all but I give credits to lex
There was a period in time (About ten year ago) when I first started making beats and everyone was copying Lex Lugers beats (Dubstep was hot then also). I'd make my trash beats and upload them to the Warbeats forum. They'd be copycats everywhere, now this guy can't even get a Type Beat. Originality is dying fast. This guy's a goat in his own right...
yeah it's cuz time is moving faster. Technology and globalization reaching far more people than it did 10 years ago. Lex used to have sounds most of us couldn't even get our hands on unless we got lucky, that most of everybody has now.
Started from D. Rich & Shawty Redd/Three 6 Mafia imo. Lex Luger took it up another notch on the drums and refined that orchestral/hard-hitting trap which gave birth to drill; nonetheless Lex Luger is arguably my favourite trap producer ever.
I was making shitty hip hop beats with my friends when we discovered Lex. Met him and he gave us a flash drive with a bunch of presets for sytrus and mixer presets, and an amazing drum selection. Bro hooked it up. I'm still trying to get away from horror trap shit but its SO fun to make lol
Bro i cant im through this tape and omggg im so hurt that the sound is not what it use to be. ihavent felt like i had this much power in years. this tape gave me nothing but POWER, Nostalgia, goosebumps, the feeling like i have a choice what am i going to do. the feeling of feeling like i gotta go and get the money, the feeling of looking back on memories from the past, the feeling of dont let these mf get to u and push HARDER the feeling of seeing these wierd visuals when i close my eyes or have something on my mind. iv listened to alot of stuff current well i tried to but THIS. this was one HELL OF AN ERA. 😢😢😢well my summer is going to be hella GOLD again these type of beats brought HELL Of alot of MEMORIES. i even found my favorite youtube producers around this time. im going to cry on how much power this tape gave me. this shit will never come back EVER AGAIN 🔥🔥🔥😢the atmosphere wasnt all that great for me niether this tape lightened the mood and everything around me felt like i just stepped out of 2022 and traveled back to 2012

Lex is dope no doubt but put some respect on Shawty Redds name!! One of the pioneers of this trap sound!!! Shawty was making these types of beats wayyy before plug ins like Omnisphere and Nexxus!! Go back and listen to Jeezys early work!!!!
SHAWTY REDD LEX LUGER MIDNIGHT BLACK DRUMMA BOY ZAYTOVEN FATBOY(Gucci mane boy) Sonny digital metro boomin Tay Keith KE ON THE TRACK DJ SPINZ nineteen85
Not for nothing I've been producing for at least 16 years as a hobby and when Lex came out I was hyped because he used Purity. I miss that program it had hella good sounds!!
@@gb5634 actually he was inspired by Three Six Mafia they made this sound and he brought it bacc and remastered it Lex Luger did. Juicy J and DJ Paul was his idles
JH DAGREAT Exactly. I love lex but tbh jahlil was ahead of him even on 808s. Ex: Rose red from meek mill, war vets song let them shots fly. Pay attention to the dates of release to when bmf dropped.
