The suppression of the Old Latin Mass and the introduction of the New Mass was not just a cultural loss and a liturgical mess, but it may have contributed to a lessening or loss of Faith. There is an important Latin phrase that all of us should know, namely, lex orandi, lex credendi. Lex orandi, lex credendi translates into - the Law of Prayer is the Law of Faith. In other words the Church believes exactly as she prays. How we pray shapes how we believe. This means that the Church's liturgy, how She prays, is the most effective means of preserving and interpreting the one True Faith. Not only do the inerrant Sacred Scriptures teach us the content of the Faith…not only does Sacred Tradition pass on the deposit of Faith…but the Liturgy also teaches us the Apostolic Tradition. The Church’s prayer… Her rituals…are an authentic source of theology. So when a decision is made to change radically the Latin Rite liturgy…the way we pray, it could affect the way we believe.

I was born in the Novus Ordo mass and when I discovered the Latin Mass in my city I could never go back to the sad NO mass. I saw the beauty and sacred liturgy that the Vatican took away from me. I cannot stand being in the Novus Ordo mass not even for one minute. What they did to us by stealing the glorious Latin Mass was a disgrace to us and to all the saints and apostles.

Most "catholics" I speak with are Arian, thet deny over half of the dogmas, and don't believe in the real presence in the Eucharist! we cannot fathom the utter holiness of God. They proudly take the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Blessed Lord in their hands. they have no idea what they are doing. They see good in evil (profaning the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar) and evil in good(receiving on our knees). There's a Holy Scripture that says if we are faithful in small things we will be faithful in big things and recently I've realized that BIG THING, is the most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Lord have mercy on me a poor sinner.

EXCELLENT VIDEO I have listened for years now. This is the best sermons ever by far! Speaking of traveling, a few years ago, I attended the TLM at the SSPX chapel in Winona Minnesota (I was being treated for spine cancer not too far away at the Mayo Clinic). In a pre-mass conversation I mentioned that I had an hour’s drive each way from my home to the Chicago SSPX chapel and back. Of the small group I was talking to, one person said that he and his family traveled TWO HOURS each way to the Winona chapel. Then a lady said she and her family drove FOUR HOURS each way to the Winona chapel. People do what they must. “NECESSITY” IS EXACTLY RIGHT.

Pope Paul VI was apparently schizophrenic then. Lovely homily and well said, at a given time we will all have to admit that by being at the Mass of all ages, we're rejecting in some way the new Mass. At Lourdes the rector banned communion on the tongue. We wrote petition-styled letters and for a long time he rejected our claims but who could ignore the growing group of happy traditionalists walking out of the sanctuary area in order to receive Our Lord on the tongue in the street, in a local garden and at someone's home every Sunday for months? He ended up giving in and we got back the Communion on the tongue. In the past Catholics rolled over, now we've learnt that an obstinate love and respect for God might get us in trouble in human terms but God sees, He knows and he blesses us. Perseverance unto death. God is good.

The apparition of Virgin Mary at Bayside NY and said that Pope Paul was replaced by an imposter Pope , I call him Pope Paul 7, Pope Paul the 6 had blue eyes Pope Paul 7 had Grey eyes. I found out Pope Paul 7 name is Paolo Carlin a friend of the real Pope who had a key to the Papel apartments. So it would appear that there some skizoid(sic) stuff going on.Both Pope John and Pope Paul 6 tried to control the council but it ran away from them ,to their horror. Much as the Conclave to elect Francis involved a conspiracy, so did Vatican 2 by a group of Modernist.

Buginni, a Freemason, pulled one off on Paul VI, as he just finished bastardizing the Mass, handed it to him, and he naively accepted it. John Zmirek described in his book?, the Politically Incorrect Guide to Catholicism how Paul VI wax caught off guard, realizing that the octave of Pentecost had been dropped as was the tradition of wearing red vestments throughout the week. He actually wept, but the Nee (world)! Order was in full force with priests thinking they should gussy it up in any manner that they chose each day.

Is it any wonder that in her reflections to Her priests through Fr. Stefano Gobe that are composed in his book, Marian Movement of Priests,, Our Lady observes several times that “Freemasonry has entered the Church through the Mass?” The Lex Bibendi just was t cutting it as devout religious sisters, brothers and priests left the Convents and Monasteries. Church attendance dropped as folks became “nones” as they missed the Nass of the Ages or joined PROTESTant churches to get a better version of he newly Protestantized Mass that they were finding in their Catholic Churches.

@@johnholmes6667 I have read in the messages Our Lady in Necedah Wisconsin 1950 to 1975 ,not approved by the Catholic Church, that Freemasonry was started by people who were supposed Jews, " jews who say they're jews but are not they are lying " who started Freemasonry. I believe they needed an alternate organization to contradict the Catholic Church and destroy Christianity. Virgin Mary also said the Bahai Temple, which was started in Iran, also is not from God, their teachings contradict the Bible and the Koran, very New Age.

Latin masses are getting fewer and fewer to find. I have to drive an hour for a Latin mass. What we need to pray for is our priests, bishops, all liturgical clergy to come back to an extreme faith; to honor the eucharist with the most reverance and sacredness. We are among the very few that sit in a pew that we can make sure to receive communion by the priest and on our tounge. I have yet to gain the courage to kneel as well. Thank you Father for a beautiful reminder of how to love our Lord and respect Him.

while we in indonesia can't attend TLM because all the bishop already "banned" the TLM for some time now, so the decree has no effect at all, because the TLM was already long dead, while SSPX priest stopped coming to Indonesia due to covid restriction ( from spore ). We are in dire situation, butyou guys pretty lucky in the US. Please help to pray for us. Gbu

Thanks for your words of clarity! I do believe what you said. I grown up in a way I sang gregorian chants for men. I sang in a church with gregorian men choir, with who we used to sing masses with gregorian chants. Today, this church is been destroyed. I saw the city administration reducing its function to a tourism attraction, to a little place of market and, finally, to keep the façade of it, to change to total different modern building connected to it... This church was so great, unique. Wherever we would sing in it, we were hearing the choir in stereo, in perfect sound balanced. I don't know if people will realize how the tail of devil could be seen... Of course, there are less and less faithful in churches... but I believe it's because there weren't enough latin masses. And now, for where I live, if I was kneeling to receive the eucharistie on the tongue, I wonder if people around would look at me as a rebel, and I wonder how I would be received for my gesture by a priest giving the communion. Am I wrong? Should I become a priest myself, how to honor and venerate always more my respect and love to the Holly eucharistie? God forgive me my poor knowledge. I compensate by players to Virgin Mary. Thanks for your clarity and your sermons; I feel not being alone in this awareness. God bless you!

The Novus Ordo mass is a traditional Lutheran church service - compare both and you’ll see they are almost identical Even the New Roman Missal of Pope Paul 6th is almost identical to the Protestant Book Of Common Prayer in its written rubrics Traditionalist Protestants who visit the Novus Ordo Mass even say “this is Catholic?! This is exactly like my church service at my church !” Appeasing the Protestants- that’s what it really was

Except for you know the Eucharistic prayer that says ever Virgin Mary and chaste husband Joseph? ( I go to traditional Latin mass now but I remember those words from one of the Eucharistic prayers) Don’t Lutherans believe that Mary and Joseph “had children” like other Protestants? I’d say it’s barely valid because the Eucharist is consecrated validly. And by the way not everybody has access to Latin mass I’m lucky to but people in the western part of my state would have to drive three hours and while that might be OK in the summer, that’s not practical in the winter when there’s ice and snow and sometimes I 80 is closed because of a blizzard. And I know someone who goes to traditional Latin mass but they were on vacation in a part of Maine recently where there wasn’t a Latin mass available. Not sure how far they were from Portland, the closest Latin mass, but I don’t think it was close enough that they could realistically drive to it. Sometimes you might not have a choice on going to the new mass unfortunately. But hopefully the FSSP & the SPPX can keep bringing the Latin mass to the people.

Actually.....the Divine Liturgy of St John Crysostum is older. But still, a Liturgy that goes back to St Gregory the Great is definitely ancient! Holy Theotokos pray for the Church

All of the liturgies of the church are apostolic in origin, but the Eastern liturgies have legitimately developed more from the primitive mass than the Roman Rite. The paraclisis for instance was added latter after heresies denied the divinity of the Holy Ghost

@@SATMathReview1234 amen! Of coarse their development are all apostolic, like the Divine Liturgy of St James has become the Maronite and Antiochene liturgies. The unique thing about the Divine Liturgy of St John Crysostum is that from its promulgation in the late 4th century, it has not been changed at all! There have been additions to prayers and anaphoras, which is how Liturgy grows organically, but no innovations. It still retains all of the deep mystery, just like the TLM. The only Liturgy that has no apostolic roots in the entire universal church is the Novus Ordo. I feel so bad for the pius Latins as your church's beauty and theology was gutted, along with every liturgical rite- baptism, Communion, Chrismation AND ordination- not to mention the hatchet job to the Latin ecclesiasiology! Lord have mercy on us, and PLEASE rescue Your church from the hands of the modernists!

Before the Liturgy of St James from Mar Adai? That's 80 ad. The Latin liturgy didn't even adopt Latin until the end of the 3rd century. Peter even founded the Antiochene church well before he even made it to Rome. It's hard to show the Mass from Trent, the modern TLM, even at 1000 years ago, let alone Gregory the great in the 6th century. Even the Ambrosian Rite is older, yet still a Roman liturgy. And if it is older than any other Rite, it's even more embarrassing what V2 did to their liturgy! A true hermeneutic of rupture. From the oldest to the most novel. Of all of the different liturgical Rites, of which I have attended all, the NO is by FAR the ugliest and least reverent, and thats not even mentioning the actual church buildings. I don't think the Catholic church at large has ever been weaker, and uglier, then it is today. Lord have mercy on us

Actually that is not quite true. The Liturgy of St. Gregory was virtually identical to the Liturgy dating back to Pope Damasas, and is believed to date to apostolic times in its earliest forms. It was long held as the Liturgy of St. Peter. The Roman Rite is evidence of being more primitive, due to its lack of an epiclesis.

3 Hail Marys for the priest 🌹🌹🌹🙏🏻 and for Steve 🌹🌹🌹🙏🏻 that this channel may be for the Lord's work ✝️📿 Contained Traditional prayers for the Holy Father's intentions and for the clergy and hierarchy. The Traditional prayers don't ask for what the Pope, bishops and priests personally want, but rather that the Lord will mold them into the likeness of His Divine Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, the Eternal High Priest. I can't type it in Latin, because autocorrect keeps changing the words, and I don't want to risk posting a scandalous error, so I'll have to post it in English, only the beginning of the prayer: _Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven._ Pray this many times daily for the Holy Father, the clergy and hierarchy.

I lost my only form of transportation, my bike, and have no $ for another. There's a Latin Mass about 9 miles from me, whereas, I live but 2 miles to the Ordinary Form Mass. I have no way of getting to Mass or Confession for that matter. I have both the 1945 and 1962 Latin Hand Missals, and also have the 1964 (interim) and 2010 third edition of the 1970 Ordinary Form Hand Missals.

Vatican II created a new sect: the conciliar church. Just because people called it 'catholic' it is not. Similar to what we are experiencing currently with the 'science' ....just because people call 'science' it is not. All my friends that attend the novos ordo sect think and behave as protestants while believing they are catholics. What I find the most maddening is the insistence of calling catholic the conciliar sect. Truth is objective! That thing that came out of Vat. II is anything but catholic.

The FBI didn't know what they were talking about when they described certain religious groups as "cults," probably because they were influenced by Freemason teachings. Whatever has influenced your erroneous beliefs about who is or is not Catholic, it isn't the Holy Spirit. The form of the Divine Liturgy isn't what makes one Catholic. There are many NO daily communicant Nonnas who are more Catholic than you -- those aren't my words, they're the words of a strict Traditionalist TLM man addressed to a rigid Rad Trad who declared that nobody in the NO was Catholic, and therefore they were outside of the Church, and therefore they're all going to hell. Don't ever forget that many will cry, "Lord! Lord!" But He will say to them, "I do not know you." Don't assume He isn't talking to _you_.

KA Fleury wow THAT was quite the spanking! I kind of agree with BOTH OF YOU. ( although it scares me to admit it to YOU...hehe). And both of you are off the charts mean. Our SSPX priest told us there are people becoming saints in the novus ordo. This priest on here offered the no for eleven years. Look at him now. We have to resist imitating the pride and anger of Luther. Most of the Protestant revolution was done by « holier than thou + More ancient than that » extremists. God will straighten it all out. Cardinal Heenan in London I lived there It went out in 1975. If the Church was wrong for 1965 years then I kno ww Jesus never returned in 1965 so Novus Ordo is not Hid. I dont attend any and wont . Why trust a Church that was wrong for 1965 years. Go Sola Scriptura.

It's so stupidly ridiculous. All the Saints loved it, it got them to heaven with flying colours. They all attended it. Not the V2 so called saints mind you, how convenient. Anyone who does not see the lunacy here deserves to be duped, and suffer the consequences. The Catholic Church does not need idiotic members calling the shots, no sir. The true remnant is miniscule indeed, don't for one minute think it isn't. The vast majority of Catholics do not believe and accept what the true church teaches. There are various degrees of acceptance and rejection. But no sound unity, spare a few thousand, in the entire church. One day God will sort this mess, one day soon. Rome will become the seat of the Antichrist, lest we forget.

Violins, cellos, all manner of wind & percussion orchestral instruments are ok - but the humble classical guitar, an orchestra in itself, is not? Mozart? The Masonic Master? Masonic Mass? .. I'll need to think that through a bit before I come to a conclusion on the appropriateness of a Mozart Mass in a liturgical setting .. lex orandi, lex credendi, you say?

Tertia You are so right, the guitar can cover it all. Not all music uses the guitar appropriately, however. While I personally do not hunger for Mozart, I have not heard his name in connection with masonry. Have you? Grégorian chant is awesome because it helps us pray and it blends in with the Traditional liturgy. I’ve read more technical and more flowery praise for gregorian but that was just me. Can we Catholics admit that all of our prayers and music are just humble beginnings, that will be fully realized in Heaven in the fullness of Divine Union?

It should alleviate sadness, and calm the angry spirit. It should not contradict the sense of the words, but rather enhance it. For it is no slight loss of spiritual grace to be distracted from the profit of the sense by the beauty of the chant, and to have our attention drawn to a mere vocal display, when we ought to be thinking of what is sung.' St Bernard of Clairvaux Monodic Chant is the proper, wrt texture & ethics, music of the Latin Rite. However the music of the Church up to the present day is one of vast polyphonic innovation from the earliest introduction of expert combination of two voice lines to that of forty. The introduction of instrumental accompaniment is foreign to the Roman Rite, but this doesn't stop the Traditionalists from lauding its superior scared value over 'banal' Jesuit sentimentality. I find 'Trad' arguments against Novus Ordo at times a little hypocritical. Yes, Mozart was a Free Mason Master. The Magic Flute, his Masonic magnum opus is replete with Masonic themes & imagery. Sensus Fidelium & 'Infiltration' indeed ..

@@granmabern5283 The Chant fell into disuse in the 17th & 18th centuries. It's revival in the mid to late 19th century was much to do with the monks of Solesmes (esp. Dom Prosper Guéranger) & chant as we know it today & is sung in TLM is a reconstruction. Pristine plain chant vanished in the 9th century. It was mostly orally taught not sung from developed neume based musical notation. But historical development is not something Trads like to admit. What is more odious: the virtuosic excesses of 'Traditional' Baroque Mass or Jesuit composition for Novus Ordo Liturgy complete with modern drum kit, synthesiser & Brittany Spears sporting fashionable rosary necklace singing? Lex orandi, lex credendi .. It makes me want to stay in the cell of my enclosure. None shall pass!
