These two Lexia interfaces are of poor quality, because neither of these has the mandatory 7 optocouplers on the computer side card 🤔 The 7 optocouplers are needed to allow the communication with ALL vehicle ECUs
@@thomasmezei3231 at 8:31 you can see one white optocouplers (above the ABCD lettering) at 8:47 you can see 2 white optocouplers, but there are 7 soldering points. i hope i helped.

HELLO , can u please EXPLAIN FEW things : IS LEXIA BOTH FOR PEUGEOT AND CITROEN OR only for CITROEN ? IS PP2000 only for PEUGEOT ? DOES DIAGBOX INCLUDE BOTH pp2000 and LEXIA IN IT ? thanks
@@EFreddy thank you for your reply . Still , it doesn't answer my questions . What is Lexia ? Isn't pp2000 supposed to be included in diagbox itself ? If not , what is diagbox part for ( peugeot or Citroen ) ? What is pp200 for ( peugeot or citroen )? What is Lexia for ( peugeot or citroen )? Pardon me , I don't know how to ask this any simpler .
@@TheSnoopdog14 What is Lexia: Lexia is the unit itself. What is pp2000: It is an embedded program in Diagbox that works for older Peugeot. It was commonly called "Peugeot Planet" before. If you are working on let's say a Peugeot 307, diagbox will detect the car and start pp2000 for you. :) Diagbox as a program in short is used for both Citroen and Peugeot. It work for EV as well. Lexia works for both makes as well.
@@EFreddy so if my first intension of use is to work with diagbox on 2004 peugeot 307 ( which is specifically the car I need to work on ) , then installing diagbox by itself will include pp2000 if I understand u correctly ?
that's not lexia 3 :DDD this is interfce Actia XS Evolution :)(that's the hardware) Lexia3 is software for citroen before CAN cars /Peugeot Planet 2000 if for older peugeot / Diagbox cover all CAN peugeot/citroen/ds/opel...
The change from Lexia to DiagBox was not depending on CAN. Also cars of 2000 are covered by DiagBox, even Peugeot used still their own not-CAN compatible data bus (e.g. in Pug 5MF etc.). Lexia was only the ancestor of DiagBox with a more DOS-like GUI. DiagBox covers same cars plus newer models. Nothing else is different. the module is a simple data processor for bus-serial transformation, nickname connected to the first software usable with... The functions are the same like in OpCom or VAGcom adapters.
is it woth off buying that new versio that u can see on Aliexpress? I mean the lime green looking "new Aer lexia 3" with diagbox 9.68 for 80$ or regular one with older diagbox for 50$
@@SpringWaterPaul I can't answer that question i'm afraid. The one with the newer logo in the video however is really reliable. Seems like I need to do a new video about that one ;)
@@SpringWaterPaul Here is the right one :) www.ebay.com/itm/Citroen-Peugeot-Diagnostic-Interface-LEXIA-3-with-DIAGBOX-9-68/113376834491?hash=item1a65c933bb:g:wakAAOSwLUReqek7
Exactly those versions are both (!) NOT full chip models. On the IC Platine only 2 couplers visible - the major indicator for a cheap Chinese copy. The limited number of couplers makes the system instable. Mainly the EEPROM has also only limited Firmware upgrade capability. works for smaller jobs but not for newer cars or Diesel actuators.
Full chip , i think means moduls simulator, when i tell moduls i mean a modul is an electronic part of the car which drive a car active part (accelerator, doors lock ect) . The full chip has more electronic elements (open them " the full chip" and "the other one" you'll see the first is more complete). You've optocouplers and 12 relais which generate tensions needed to command car active parts .
Full cip means full equipped with all OEM chips. Both models are half chip, not full. Typical 40,-€ versions. Upgrade to DiagBox >7.52 is mostly not working with those fakes.
I have the old chip one and my car is 2015 208 it will not let me do any manual configuration (seatbelt chime removal) I used diagbox 9.68 is this because of the old cable?
