Some tips…..use a proper tool for removing the oil filter that bottom part is for draining the filter prior to removal and shouldn’t be used to remove or tighten the oil filter. Also it has an o-ring that needs to be replaced. You should ALWAYS replace the drain plug washer they’re like .75 cents at Toyota or Lexus . I would suggest a bucket instead of that awful drain pan. Or look into the fumoto valve and make your life easier for the next oil change.
Im glad i watched this as i wasnt expecting the oil to fire out sideways. Gonna make sure to use the deep pan on this one (i also have that same shallow pan).
I don't want to be too discouraging, but I would not have posted this video. Just about everything you did went sideways. On a positive note, you made it through it without major a major fatality. Next time will be better.
