The VERY first thing I did to my 2023 luxury was put double sided foam tape on the back of the license plate because of this. Never used the frame because as you noted, it made it worse. Definitely going to order this silicone option. Bob, silicone makes many things better! Thanks for the video
There is one additional rattle source that is easily fixed. As you look at the tailgate in the upper right of the glass, in the area where the wiper is, there is a loose piece of black plastic. Tap it with your fingers you'll hear it rattle. Don't know what it's for, but I put a thin black plastic shim there to keep it from rattling and now the tailgate shuts like a bank vault. Super solid.
@@CeeJay591 someone suggested , instead of sliding your plates into the silicone sleeve, install your plates on top of your silicone sleeve to get double the cushion. 👍
When I had my shitty Land Rovers the dealer put a rubber slab the size of the plate with Land Rover cut out on the rubber plate to be put on the back of the number plate, never made noise, I still use them to this day on my and my wife’s Lexus.
Bob silicone one good idea. And I PAID for my own GX 460, not my husband , AND it pisses me off when anyone slams the doors!!! Keep them coming. Also like how you have cleaned up .............. a little .😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good Idea. Also, of late, my 2004 GX470 become very bouncy (as much as churning my stomach) even on small bumps or uneven road. I have changed the height sensors, and still no luck. Not sure if you have encountered this issue in the past and how you handled it.
I’ll be honest Bob, I like the cleaner look without the frame. But I understand that’s not really an option if the paint surrounding the plate is scratched.
This freaking guy 😂 love the intro Bob! That pop-up front license plate is a great idea. We’re a 2-plate state here in TX, but there’s no way I’m mounting some ugly-ass plate on the front of my GX. I could install that just in case I get pulled over. 👍🏼

Bob. Can I replace only the chromed trim part around the big ass front grille on my 2022 GX460? Unfortunately it was chipped on top by rock. I hate to look at it!
@@GXBOB Thanks Bob. I’ve seen the video link you sent. But my question is can I just replace the upper chrome trim itself separate. Look like it attached to the upper black grille part in one piece. I don’t want to pay a couple hundred dollars for it. Because only the chrome trim had rock chipped at one spot on my 22 GX and it bothers me every time I look at it.

Nice video Bob. Question, I've had two mechanics say my catalytic converter needs to be replaced. Cost is $2800!! My GX460 is a 2013, I'm thinking of buying a cc online and having a mechanic replace. Any experience with cc issues?
