HEYYY! It's been a while buuuut I think this will make up for it haha. New exhaust setup for now. Currently running PPE engineering catless downpipe & full Ark Grip catback. When I first got this car I never thought I could get the exhaust because it was too expensive lol. Honestly this stuff just sits under the car collecting fumes and whatever you run over so pre-owned doesn't hurt. Just means it got a little more love haha. Nah but this sounds insanely better than my last set up. I hope the audio and footage does justice.

Thank you ! 😃 it claims power gains but I have not put my car on a dyno to test it. I will be running it with draggy to compare to my previous stock tune times. The tune did add better throttle response and slightly feels quicker but it does not feel significant IMO. I have been running the tune a little over a year now and have had no problems.

Sounds great! I have a 2019 is300 and I have the Remark Exhaust and the HPS SR-Intake w/Turbo Res Delete and Charge Pipe. Thinking about changing out the exhaust and doing a Tune. Video was great for helping me make a decision. What are you using to lower the car? I'm on RS-R Down Springs but thinking about switching to some Coilovers...maybe BC Racing???

i don’t have smog check where i live (Texas lol) buttt yeah they hook up to your OBD during inspection so they can probably see changes but that hasn’t been an issue for me

Which setup had more drone? Stock midpipe, remark axleback, and ppe downpipe or stock downpipe, invidia midpipe, remark axleback. I currently have just the axleback but I'm looking to make it louder with the least amount of drone.

i would say the stock downpipe, invidia midpipe, remark axle back has more drone but the tone/pitch sounds better with this setup rather than stock midpipe and PPE downpipe. With the downpipe you will get a rattling noise directly under the car and fumes. i’ve tried tightening the v band and bolts on the downpipe, change gasket but still “leaky”.

Does the mforce actually make the car faster or just pops and bangs? I have a jb4 on my car and feels quicker with more boost since it's just a boost controller but I'm looking into mforce but just wanna make sure it makes it quicker not just noise

Yes! It bumps the HP up to 275 whp from 220 whp. The pops and bangs are just an additional option to the tune.

besides the exhaust i just have an injen intake, TTI turbo muffler delete, mforce tune. keeping up with spark plug change intervals will help also👍🏼

This is a full exhaust and its still present with the Ark catback. I can still have conversation with others though. It has less drone than my last set up for sure.

Do you have any issues with the tune? I know some people say their ECU adjusts to it essentially canceling out any gains from the tune/harms the engine. Also, do you not have issues with getting it inspected with no cats?

No issues so far, I haven't put the car on the dyno so I wouldn't know truly. And I have never had issues getting it inspected with no cats.

I am saving up for an RC rn. How much power do you think you can reliably get out of the 200t? or is it worth coughing up the gas $$ and going for the 350?

This car wont make dramatic gain in hp lol i hate to say it but there's so many people that will say it can easily beat a 350 and produce x amount of power but not a single one of those people that said that had proof, whether if it was dyno or racing another 350. All you feel is really just better throttle response and maybe just a little more power, not drastic like all the other 4cyl turbo platforms. 350 is your best bet if you want performance out of these 2 engines.

I’m trying to do the exact setup as you. Just one thing. The Catless downpipe, how long did that take to install and do you remember the process that had to be done to do it? I’m pretty sure you literally have to take out the whole engine to get to it in this car

lol it was a painnnn to remove the stock one. need to remove the turbo muffler and everything move whatever is directly on top of the downpipe so you can get to the v band clamp. but the securing screw/bolt for it is on the bottom side, need to unplug the o2 sensors and unhook it from its wire holder. you need to pretty much take out the midpipe because there was no room for me to do it, i just undid the midpipe from the downpipe and axle back and kinda just slid it towards the back of the car as much as i could. there’s also another bolt that is mounted to it to stabilize it and it needs to be undone from the bottom. it comes out through the bottom so it’s going to be tough to get out cause of the fat cats on it and extruding heat shields hitting everything. just twist rotate shake and pull and it’s coming out. you’ll need to rent a o2 sensor tool to remove it because the wire is on there and they make a special tool for it. apply on to new one and reverse steps to install

Hey man 2 questions did your CEL ever pop, does your exhaust have the resonators and is there a weird almost like whining noise as you’re accelerating ? I put the PPE down pipe been having some issues since

it used to come on because of the O2 sensor, the spacer will clear the the light. If it is stuck on for bank 2 or something like that then spacer is probably loose or there is an exhaust leak nearby. I don’t have whining noise just the spooling sound and exhaust sounds

I have the link but it is a discontinued item now, the seller doesnt sell it anymore. The name of it was just 2014-2016 Lexus IS Highkick Duckbill. I was unable to find any of them either from other sellers.

honestly this car isn't fast. If you want it "faster" a tune and catless downpipe would put the most gains for you. ECU tunes not piggy back plug and play. For myself I just have the bolt ons, intake, full exhaust, turbo muffler delete etc.

do you have a spacer on your O2 sensor on the downpipe? It is sensing that you have no cats but the spacer makes it think there is one. If not everyone uses the 90 degree angled one.

Hey, I have RSR springs lol and they are doable for me but yeah you will feel the bumps on the road for sure. I've driven and have rode in my friends IS' and they are super smooth and impressive! They have dampening adjustment so I'm sure your gf would be happy for that functionality haha.

350 is still faster lol, this can get it on the launch but the 350 will reel it in. With roll racing it is worse bc you have to brake boost just to get its full potential but still nothing sadly.

These were 19x9 +33. I ran extended studs all around and 10mm spacers with them to clear the front calipers. Worked out well.

I do daily drive it and its not as loud as an NA car with just a muffler/axleback lol. The 200t sounds really muffled still even with FBO. The tune with the pops is controllable it only pops if you make it go above 4k rpms

The IS 200t and IS300 are basically the same car(unless you have the AWD which does a bit more Hp cuz of the detuned V6). They did a face lift and name change. So unless you have the AWD version, you are getting 241 hp and 258lbs per ft of Torque. The 200t is a bit more “rare” compared to others. You’ll have a hard time overall spotting one compared to the others. I daily a 2016 IS200t

The tune lets it pop above 4K rpms, if you want this you need to go catless downpipe to not destroy your cats

What state are you in? If your engine light shows then you wont pass but I am in Texas and have my OEM heat shield over the downpipe. My exhaust has never given me issues with inspection here.

@@KennyVo I am in north Carolina but the place I go doesn’t care about the fact I have a downpipe but when they go and scan my car it shows cat error codes but it could be the tune messed up and just needs to be re tuned so I was just wondering if when your car is scanned it shows error codes because if yours doesn’t then I know all I have to do is re tune
