This video has me upgrading my fuel pump to a aeromotive stealth 340 pump, modifying the fuel pump hanger for a fuel return system. All E85 compatible.
I managed to keep the factory fuel rail in my IS300 by using an Aristo pump (unmodified) as a lift pump to a Radium FST-R that is mounted in my trunk. Since the FST-R bleeds excess pressure directly back into the can, all I had to do was attach the feed from the can in the trunk to the factory feed. Kept the factory dead head setup and used a Radium Fuel Pulse Dampener to replace the factory one.
Thanks for the video man! I’m in a tough spot, because my 2jzgte swapped IS is already set up for 600 HP, but the fuel pump is the only thing keeping me from reaching it. Car is tuned on E85 at 430 WHP, but I really don’t want a complicated dual pump setup. This Aeromotive 340 isn’t big enough to support 500+ WHP on E85 at anything less than 90% duty cycle.
I just realized the hose that siphons gas from the other side of the tank to the pump-side of the tank is made of rubber. Over time wouldnt it be eaten away by the E85? Did you keep this stock hose?
I would like to perform thos upgrade on my aristo because she is struggling to get enough fuel. You didn't mention about these few holes drilled on top this little plastic piece with 3 outlets. My looks a bit different, should I drill it as well? Just to give fuel more bypass?
