It’s because it’s measuring power at the wheels after drivetrain power loss and not at the crank all manufacturer hp and torque figures are at the crank with minimal power loss.

Stock US spec get around 382hp but Middle East spec around 362hp

ImJustMe555 while a beast of a engine you’d want to look in to lowering the compression quite a bit. Would sound amazing though.

No bro, that's what it makes through the transmission and differential. Parasitic loss is huge In trucks and SUV due to the huge transmissions. What the manufacturer states as HP is always at the crank.

That's at the wheels/hub.. not the crank. The RX350 is 295hp at the crank the LX570 in Aus spec (as per video) has 360hp at the crank... got to factor in driveline losses for a permanent AWD system and pretty heft transfer case/etc.

P_enta Bullshit. If you get 383 from a stock setup that means taking into account drivetrain losses your engine is putting out over 500HP. There is no Toyota V8 out right now that’s putting out that much straight from the factory. So either you’ve tuned the engine or you’re measuring HP at the flywheel.

Yeah that is 350-380 on the flywheel. Not on the wheels. You can easily deduct 20-30% off that power to the wheels.

Center diff would unlock at speeds above 40 I think

@@syedmohammedhussain799 No, the diff would not engage or disengage on it's own (if functioning correctly). The center diff should be engaged at speeds below 40mph (max limit is an odd number like 44 mph or something) and then it should be engaged when the drive train isn't under severe load. Typically I engage under low loads at around 10-20mph and it will pop right into engagement. If it's under stress it definitely slows down the time to engage and will sometimes make louder engagement noise.

That hasn't been my experience. Maybe on newer rigs but my 1997 LX450, 1999 100 series, 2004 GX470, and 2010 GX460 all allowed the center diff to remain locked even at highway speeds.

No it gets 383 horsepower to the CRANK but at the wheels it’s around 260. Here in the states it’s also 383 at the CRANK
