This videos was very well presented . I e been a mechanic for o er 30 years . People have no Idea how much work and skill it takes to replace a simple seal . Thank You for posting .
This video is exactly what I’m looking for. Can you tell me how much to torque the torque converter bolts to fly wheel and the plate on the rear main seal you put RTV on how much ft lbs to torque. Thanks will be doin this next week.
Thanks for the incredible and detailed video. Why didn’t you continue the RTV along the bottom of the retainer plate? Can’t a leak form along the unsealed bottom edge?
will you slow video down? and/or list steps tools needed? will be attempting this myself and you just happen to be the only youtube video with the same model lexus I own...helllppp lol...would greatly appreciate it if not its understandable...tia
This is years of experience in the video. Unfortunately, I don't have a slowed down tutorial video. I would recommend you just take it to a Lexus dealership or independent shop. As a for somebody who is trying to do this as a DIY....It will take you a week or 2. Especially if you dont have a car lift.
its not. I just like to align and put everything back in origin from factory. Just have a good reference point and memory of how things go back together.
Depends where you take it? If its an independent toyota/lexus shop, roughly around $1200. If its a toyota/Lexus dealership, roughly around $2500. I'd call and get a quote around your area. Prices vary depending on your location and quality of parts being used.
@@zackbrandon Damn. I guess prices heavily changed after the pandemic. I'd continue checking around. See if a reliable "certified" Lexus/toyota mechanic is willing to do it on the side.
