None at all from the CAI but have had one a while back from the pedal commander (pedal under voltage) which I cleared with a scanner and it has never come back.
Thanks Sean. More of a wait than I had hoped unfortunately. Seems they are all out of stock and not due till mid to late 22 unless you want to pay obscene prices for shipping on the ones that still have them. Maybe thinking of doing mufflers instead of the axle back if I have to wait that long
Thanks buddy, no issues whatsoever. The only time I've had anything was when I put a throttle controller in and it and a check engine light and code which was low pedal voltage when I checked with my scanner. Cleared it and it's never came back
Serious question. Aside from increasing decibels, what other benefits can one expect with this mod, or is it all about aesthetics and sound? I’m asking because I just received a new air filter that I’m going to replace, which is how I found this video.
For me it was just the nice induction sound. It gives it almost a deep small V8 rumble. It does look cool too but who ever sees under the bonnet apart from your mechanic! They claim 13HP but your never going to feel that lets be honest :) If your looking for something that is going to make the car feel faster I highly recommend a throttle controller, I recently installed one to get rid of the throttle lag and it's amazing and will only set you back a couple of hundred dollars (In Australia) makes it feel like you've put a turbo on! I'll do a vid on it shortly.
@@twistedfatebuilds - Thank you for responding. I leased my 350 but couldn’t turn it in at lease end so I bought it. I like the little growl it gives but wish it was a little more. I just might do this. It’s plenty fast for me as is, but that could change. I’ll be on the lookout for your next video.
I have previously looked on the K&N filter page re this. They say smaller filter about every 50,000 miles and larger cone type can go up to 100,000. These are similar filters so around that mark but to be honest you can never over clean a filter so I'll go once every 12-18 months 😉
To be honest it will make fuel efficiency way worse when I'm driving as it sounds awesome with your foot to the floor 😅 Jokes aside I honestly don't know buddy, even the claimed 10HP I don't think you'd ever tell but I did it solely for the sound gain 😉
Sounds great with such a small mod. I just got my Rc350 Fsport in Jan this year. I’m loving it!! Have subscribed and looking forward to hearing the new exhaust and seeing any future mods.. 😎👍
Thanks mate, defo worth the cheap mod. Can't wait to finally get a better system on her soon to cap off the sound 💪 Congrats on the RC, it's hard not to love them 😉
Thanks brother, I really thought our IS 350 was a beast untill you get in this thing. I guess 8 years is a long time in car advancements 😁 Can't wait to get the exhaust on next, I'm in love all over again 😍
I own an is350, love the sound of the engine, but I'm struggling in video to tell the difference in intake sound. 😂 I've got a custom cat back due on the 30th, hopefully it doesn't sound horrible. 😂
Really? It's so much throatier but maybe a lot easier to tell off camera. It does sound the same down low but wakes up in the upper rpm. What cat back did you go with? I really want to get one one ASAP but shipping and availablity are driving the price too high to get it here at the moment. I had the Tanabe medallion on my IS350 Fsport and that sounded epic. People couldn't believe it wasn't a V8 when in it.
@@twistedfatebuilds I'm getting a full custom made(mild steel for sound and weight). The is350(2021), in Australia atleast for me, only has axle backs available. So full custom was required.
@@jyfsh-rq9jc Nice mate. Love to hear it when done. Yeah same here in Victoria, axle backs are straight off the shelf but exy so may even go your way too
Hi, I got my takeda intake kit from afe power for the rc350 And I noticed it has the coupling for the gs350 but it doesn't contain the coupling for the rc 350. I'm very confused right now, could they have sent the wrong thing or did they send the coupling for both models when you got yours?
Hi mate, just refreshed my memory from the instructions. You should have 3"coupling M1 which is for the GS and 3" hump coupling M2 which is the one for the RC
Check if all the parts are in the box from here in the installation link afepower.com/afe-power-tr-2015b-1r-takeda-stage-2-pro-5r-cold-air-intake-system#add-ons
Thanks mate, as for this over the F sport I think you'd be fine with either as I had the F sport CAI on my previous IS350 Fsport and it looked and sounded exactly the same. I guess it just comes down to availability and price but you won't regret either.
Cheers Tavon, I'm pretty happy with it but can't wait to get an axle back system in to see how that sounds. I'll have to do a vid of our IS 350 F Sport where I've done the CAI and Tanabe axle back and it's so deep people can't believe it's not a V8 when they are in it or I'm driving past.
@@twistedfatebuilds Sounds Great Man I can’t wait to get mine next year.. anything I should be concerned with after installing ? Also do you have an Instagram I can follow ?
@@tavongrant3747 Only concern is my fuel usage has gone up as it sounds so good with the foot to the floor 😅 other than that nothing at all mate. I do have have IG @twistedfate_builds but its mainly if two cafe racer motorcycles I'm building. Will do more of the RC mods on there as they come too though. How about you buddy?
@@twistedfatebuilds The Instagram I use is mainly to stay updated with what’s going on and look at other builds. Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it. I will definitely keep an eye on yours, be sure to take care of your amazing sounding V8 lol
Not sure mate, I got mine 2nd hand never installed pretty cheap and installation took under two hours so would depend on the hourly rate where you are but it's such a simple job I would be doing it myself if possible 😉
Hi Jan, I haven't had any issues with the hose slipping off buddy. I used the spring clamp on it and seems to be fine. I guess you could change it for a proper screw type hose clamp to get it down tighter?
Hey buddy, nothing else at this stage. I have been trying to get an axle back system but the shipping is too exy at the moment. I'm thinking I might just get some mufflers put in while I wait to see if I can get it a bit deeper
