Leyland Atlantean OJI4371 Unusual Lower Driving Position 

It's actually a rebuild, not a rebody. Fylde had a number of these Atlanteans treated in 1991. Their interiors were refubrbished and Palatine 1 front ends fitted to make them look like new.

Low driving positions were synonymous with very early AN68 chassis. WYPTE had buses dating fron N-T reg with low driving positions.

@craigybus1 Lothian's Atlanteans also had the low driving position.

An odd Atlantean indeed. It is unusual for an Atlenatean to have a Northern Counties Palatine Body. I remeber more having the SELNCE/GM standard body fitted and lots were in Manchester. The radiator panel has been covered due to it being made for the front mounted radiator of the olympian. The bus was re-built in the late 80s as a cheaper way of not replacing the bus.

Its an atlanteab that was rebodied by Northern Counties to look like there newer designs (in the 1990's)

Looks bit like the iconic Manchester Standard ones.

Has a Palantine 1 front end.

These buses proper confuse me lol. It looks like a Volvo Olympian at the front!!! But inside it sounds like an Atlantean and the back looks like one. Very very confusing bus.
