Logically following on from F609 RTC is this Lynx for comparison. This 'RTC' batch was a major order of the type, new to Bristol Cityline in 1989. These were built around the same time as the later Cardiff Bus and early West Midlands Travel mark one examples. The Bristol Lynxes probably had the tightest gearing, reaching speeds of just over 50mph. I actually overheard a conversation with a bus driver saying that the condition of these buses was 'shocking' but they 'go well'. That was said of course not in 1989 but at the time of recording in 2005. The audio is heard somewhere in the Somerset countryside from Wells.
