Owned a 344 for 45yrs. It wouldn’t pull the skin off a rice pudding, but an excellent hay making tractor on baler and stacking bales. Present use primarily as mobile scaffold.
That's odd since Leyland tractors are renowned for their pulling power and grip. They had perfect weight distribution. Theres loads of videos where the 6 cylinder and 4 cylinder Leylands impress people. 285/2100 casually pulling a 7 furrow plough on tick over and beating a Ford 7810 in a tug of war. And 272s doing heavy duty work.
Leyland tractors are genuinely misunderstood. They're powerful and beautiful. 2100 and 285 are excellent. Can you do a video on the Marshalls that took on the Leyland tractors.
How right you are I am in South Australia with a 272 and 270. AND an Australian disigned Leyland P76 car. Also very misunderstood but a very good car. I would love to have a Leyland Mastiff truck to make the trifecta.
