There is only one character in Haikyuu who is MVP in every episode where he's shown & unfortunately this is not Suga :p (altough he have done a very good job substituing Kageyama) But Oikawa man, Still The MVP you probably understand why after watching the whole serie (I hate him at first especially in this first season but ... Still the "Great King" (> the King, all is in the name as Hinata said ;p).

In the fandom, we call Daichi "Dadchi" while Suga was called "Sugamama" because of their roles. Daichi, running the family while Suga checking on the kids 🤣
In the end of this episode, there's a scene when Suga san was about to say something and thought twice, said another word. The word he was about to say was "kateyo" which means "you guys have to win, " implying he was like outsider, but the word he actually said was "katuzo" meaning "Let' s win this match together." The word implys that even though Suga san is no more on the court, he's still one of the member of Team Karasuno. I really love the fact that that kind of word comes from our humble Suga san. Can't wait to see him play on court again🥲
I love Suga so much! And that parallel with him and Kageyama was so impactful. Suga wants to be there with his teammates and go on, Kags just wants to be on the court and play as much as possible.
You gotta love suga he is just so precious 🥺 honestly i know we said this a lot but it's hard not to love everyone, even oikawa and his Iwa-chan i just love their dynamic 🤣🤣 and you can see the beginning of kaheyama's character development, it's just amazing how he cahnged. Amazing reaction as always!! There are two technical points that I wanted to clarify for future episodes, the first one you guys probably already know but just in case, the "freak" quick that Hinata and Kageyama use is much quicker than just a normal quick set that Hinata and Suga use, because of how accurate and fast Kageyama is with his tosses. And second of all, the soft serve Oikawa did wasn't a floater, the speed of a floater is somewhere in between a jump serve and a soft serve. The main difference is that a floater has zero spin on it so the ball travels erratically but still has a decent amount of speed behind it, whereas, the soft serve was to place the serve to the front of the court to catch the opponents off guard after his previous jump serve that was aimed more to the back of the court! I hope these explanations help!
This episode is so strong, kags gotta learn to breathe and then he'll be fine. Suga MVP So I want to make a very important clarification, so Hinata can do normal quicks just fine, he may not be the best at them but he can do normal quicks with people he's trained with. When he's working with kageyama on the other hand, he's doing a completely different quick, something that no one else is going to be able to do. So unless you see Kageyama and Hinata, You're not going to see the freak quick
The way Suga lighten kageyama’s mood/lessen the weight in his heart when he got switched, this is why Karasuno is my favorite team. Not only because they're the main team in the show. The third years are the main core of the team, like they're the anchor. Kageyama has problems in team work and how he order his team around according to his liking, but these boys adjusted and understands him, at the same time, trying their best to guide him. They're the perfect team for Kageyama. Suga is the perfect setter who can guide kageyama in many things, Daichi is the perfect leader for him, and Hinata is always have been and always will be his perfect partner. They helped each other to grow, and fill each other’s lackings in order to become one. There's many reasons why I love Karasuno, and it would be long to list all of it down here (plus explanation why) so let me stop myself here. RIP Tissue Box-kun 🥲 gone too soon. I love this episode too! Suga may be in the sideline but he's been observing his teammates and their opponents rather than do nothing. He's the best at keeping the team together, our mama Suga haha.
Despiste being an sports anime Haikyuu is most of the time very real, very practical and very honest to people's feelings. Nothing like "power of protagonist", true worries, true situations for real life. Hinata is maybe that only character that takes energy from nowhere everytime but everything else: very real and relatable.
The quick hinata does with Kageyama is different then normal quicks so the one he does with suga is a normal one. The one that Kageyama does is technically impossible in real life thats why everyone in the anime is surprised when they do it
- Mom! Suga is definitely the mom of the tea,. I love him so much! And that's how you play when you're not inside the court. You observe, analyze and learn both teams' plays and you build strategies from it. That's what Suga has been doing. I love him. - When Kageyama subbed in again for Suga, Carlie is me. Broke my heart to see Suga go, but it is what it is.
Think you’ve done it before but there should be a runner up category after mvp for each episode. Thinking Asahi should get it this time for executing that back row kill on Sugas last set.
My boomer gamer ass this whole time thinking LFG = looking for group. So when i seen LFG Suga I freaked out thinking you guys wanted to sell Suga off and have him find it own team!!!
I was gonna push the LIKE button anyway since I love you guys & your Haikyuu reactions, but that intro In-memory-of-Tissue-Box made me push the button at the speed of light LOL Overall, it's quite obvious that Haikyuu's message is teamwork. I know it sounds dumb to point it out bec teamwork is usually the message of every sports medium, but in Haikyuu, it surpasses that - it's community. The benchwarmers are given credit, but so are the other people in that court & outside of it. Without Takeda-sensei, even w/o having vball technical knowledge, there wouldn't have been a Coach Ukai or a reconnection w/ Nekoma, or practice matches - all of which helped level up Karasuno's game at high speed. The Neighborhood Assoc guys practiced against our boys bec of Ukai, and have influenced the members (Yamaguchi) into improving on their own time; even if you're a benchwarmer, you can still improve yourself & plan to contribute to the team in other ways. There are other benchwarmers & side characters that make up this Karasuno vball community, and I'm so excited for you guys to see their moments.
yes, exactly! every single person is important, not just the starting members on the team, or the strongest, or even the ones who play the most. it's EVERYONE who is involved with and supports Karasuno throughout their journey. like you said, it's true teamwork, it's community.
Hi guys, aren't you planning to watch the kdrama with the title "Moving"? there are 20 eps, a really good story about several school children and their parents who have superpowers and they hide them. and you will like Ryu Seung-ryong more as the father figure who is the best than Cho Hak-Ju as the father of the queen in the "Kingdom". I would be happy if you could react to it^^
