I miss Warp records on Division St and how the scene kind of piltered out here in recent years. Worst of all I still can't believe Mark died so young. Sad when I think about it.
I still love my early Warp records. Artificial Intelligence 1&2, Hypnotic Groove, LFO, B12, Black Dog, Blëch... Homogenic by Björk & Mark Bell is awesome too. (My favorite album from the late 90's, with the Orbital's In Sides... ) The sound of Sheffield is still awesome...
Hey, french here, i remember these great compilations too, i had the audio cassettes ;) experimental and innocent techno, i also loved the Strictly Rhythm sounds
@@captainpawpawchannel Salut!
I wish I could experienced the 90's... Loved how the younger generation wanted to do something, be different and do things different, musical and overall unique essence of being an artist... Nowadays everyone is pretty shallow and for the moment... Where I can get a time machine!!
this is an awful take. young people always want to do something different. go on soundcloud and research the hyperpop and hip-hop scenes, you won't be disappointed by their newness
Jesus someones wrong, as if a lot of those people going raves weren't shallow and yeh only original music came out then, definetly. Seems like some one should stop living in the past and glourifying there youth.
thanks for responding. shame it was never released, only a short snippet here but sounds like a big tune. it's not like you guys were short on big tunes back then though!
Two second sample of "Aftermath" by Nightmares on Wax followed by a sample of "Test one" by Sweet Exorcist (Richard H Kirk of Cabaret Voltaire) My pleasure 😘
@@TheKilla5109the Yeah i mean the VERY beginning, before their self-titled plays, the Sound of Sheffield theme. Still waiting for track ID, still can't find it. Ah well.
