Brother thank you so much! In a world of takers you are a giver. Wasted so much time watching useless videos but decided to search one last time before heading to the dump. Hated the thought of adding to a landfill and this worked like a charm. Would love to donate a small token of my appreciation if you have a donation account - let me know!
Thank you so so much! My LG Tv screen went black a couple of days ago, while I was watching tv. Still had sound and backlight. So I looked online, and found a lot of people backing their motherboard in the oven for 10 minutes. Tried it, but it didn't work. And then today, your video was suggested by RU-vid, so I tried it, and it worked perfectly! Had the same result as you did, moved a bit of electrical tape around, and voilà! I did not succeed at first, because my tape was a bit too large, then I saw that the cable was actualy split in several ribbons further down. So I matched the width of tape to the with of a ribon, then placed it at the "end" of each one. The last one finally did the trick! Thank you again! I still can't believe that a tiny piece of tape saved me hundreds... And I would not have tried it without your help! ❤
Briliant video. Just tried this on my LG 43uk6300plb and it worked. I had a white screen issue and it turned out to be an issue with the same ribbon cable as the one in the video. I stuck ordinary cellotale in the exact same position as he did and it worked on first attempt. Thank you so much for making this video. Youve saved me the expense of a new TV. 😊
So much more helpful than any TV company I tried to speak to! Super helpful and saved me (and by the looks of it loads of others) a lot of money on a new TV! Thank you very much!
Unbelievable .. it's bloody worked !! .. took me about 12 movements of the tape and needed to try both sides .. but it worked !! I honestly can't thank you enough .. I'm literally skint and the last thing I needed was to have to buy a new tv .. thankyou so so much x
This video has literally saved me hundreds on a new tv!!. Tried this on my 43 inch and after moving tape around I got it back up and running with no lines!!!
Omg can't believe I've just fixed my 55" doing this took a few attempts at moving the maskin tape but it works again been sitting for over a year thank you so much !
Thank you for your video. I used masking tape on a 43UK6090PUA. It took about 30 to 45 minutes to get the picture clean and crisp testing it as you demonstrated. 👍
OMG thank you man, you made me soooo happy. It took me 10minutes to get it done. I thougt TV was dead, my wife didn’t trust me i get it repaired with some little piece of tape 😂
Worked on 55UK6950PLB! On my case was on the left cable (red one) and put captain tape on de left side and worked first time! 4 year TV and the problems started... Many thanks for sharing the solution!
I carried out your method and it worked perfectly initially. Then after several minutes the bottom 3 to 4” horizontally a line appeared so I narrowed the tape a little and retried and the horizontal line disappeared and now the TV is back to normal. First time to do this repair on a LG TV normally Samsung TVs has the majority of problems. Many thanks for your great upload 👍👏🏴👍👏🏴
My tv had same problem i dont really care if it was for me but my 16 month old daughter watch cartoons all day so I have to fix for her and thanks to your video it worked perfectly for me stay blessed man thank you 🙏
Ha, with perseverance it worked. After giving up yesterday I tried again today and after trying all possible areas....on both cables, nothing. I changed from regular tape to masking tape today too. Then, one final try, I trimmed down the tape to half the size in your video and....I had a picture, very bright and white but yay. I knew I was close. I moved the tape ever so slightly and bam. Perfect.
Came home yesterday to find one of our lg tvs was broken exactly the same symptoms, so straightway ordered a new tv then later last night found your video so i give it a try today and thank you so much it worked just as you explained, top work thanks again
@thomasmaris he blocked the last 13 pins on the right hand side with just a piece of scotch tape, the same tape you’d use to wrap Christmas presents with. Just fixed mine.
@@thomasmaris497its the right hand side or the left hand side try both, but you only enough tape to cover pins with just a piece of scotch tape, the same tape you’d use to wrap Christmas presents with. Just fixed mine.
I was faced with the same Problem with my "LG 55uk6300llb"... Backlight ON, Sound, but no visbile Picture at all... Opened it up to see if theres any visible damage or something, did not see anything... Then i was about to buy a new Mainboard but my Ebay login wasnt working because i did not recieve my login SMS (Phone battery was empty...) - Then i just looked around on RU-vid and found your video... I had seen all the positive comments so i tried it... I had like 10 tries an now my tv works fine again... In my case it was the lower cable and i taped it on the lower side (like 12 or 15 pins). Thank you for your great video! You saved me like 1.000 bucks for a new TV buddy!!!

Works fine on 43um7100plb. Cracking the case open is a bit unnerving, needs a bit more force than feels comfy. Covered 15 pins exactly as seen in video, used the print on the ribbon cable for guidance and got it on first try. Used ordinary stationary tape. 10 minute fix. Thank you!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Bless you 🙏🏻 It's people like you that make this world a better place. When these huge companies assume us regular people can continuously "buy new", "buy new", to the extent where they place literal traps built into their TVs. I bet that's a big reason LG went out of business. Either people got wise or STRAIGHT KARMA hit them. Either way, it's a shameful practice. I have to believe you know this as well, and you didn't stand for it. You stood for us. So I cannot thank you enough. God bless you my friend 🙏🏻 P.S. This method also worked for the 75 inch - (as mine was)...❤
i have the same problem. my model is lg 43uk6300mlb. What pins i need to block? my tv open but i have only sound. also i have 3 red blinks.please help me to fix it
Thank you! It works! It's incredible, with only a little piece of tape! My TV had the same problem, so at first I put the tape exactly in the same place as yours: it works at the first try! Thank you for uploading this video!
Thanks for the video! I had the blank screen issue and followed your instructions, after a few tries it worked! Don't understand it it, but I guess less is more in this case! (Less pins)
I tried yesterday and it worked. I had the same problem with my 43 inch led LG TV and when i blocked 🚫 some pins it worked. Of course you need to be very patient to find witch pins you need to cover. Thank you for the information.
Nice, had the same problem and already figured out that MB probably wasn't the problem 'cause TV was still detectable via bluetooth... Put a peace of tape on the same location as in the video on the first try and immediately the tv came back to life. Thanks for sharing this tip!
Thanks a lot!!! I've got a broken one today from a friend with the same problem, I could fix it the same way, now it works!! just a bit of difference of brightness at the first start after fixing, but now the the dierence disappeared 😁😁
I was about to buy a new control board. I did your method and the TV works again. Thank you. You saved me £50. Here's a bottle of vodka. How to get it to you.
Hello, thanks so much. I got the blank screen out of the blue today, I tried your method and after a lot of tries I managed to get the image back. Unfortunately, for some reason, the left part of the screen remained a little yellow. Not much of an issue now but I'm absolutely stunned that it worked!
Had the same issue, black screen, but backlight. Wife wanted to trash it, but i kept it. Tried a few rounds, and then, picture! Was too bright, so i cut a little bit of the tape, to cover less pins and voilá! Fixed!
You are a crazy guy. I can confirm this method also works with 43UM7100PLB. I used kapton-tape to cover about the same amount of pins from the bottom part of cable 2 (orange label).
