Hi Martin, thx for your video! But can you also share some stuff related to PBP functionality of this LG screen. I’m looking for something like connecting two systems to the LG even another interesting test is to connect one laptop via two different cables (usb-c and displayport/ hdmi) and use the LG as two inputs. Hope you will have some time to share contect about my questions. Cheers!

Hi Serkan, tbf I do not use the PBP features that much because it kills a bit the purpose of why I got this screen - to use it on a single machine and extend the programs I am using. I do not see any reason why you should go through all the trouble and connect two cables to your laptop and use the PBP when it can be easily maintained with a SW screen split with the LG screen controller software that I showed. When it comes to using two different computers together as mentioned in the video (at least in my case) it doesn't work with USB C and Display Port together, you can choose one of them for one computer, but the second must always be HDMI for some unknown reason (could be potentially fixed in a firmware update from LG in the future dunno). Something that maybe I've missed to mentioned in the video is if you use HDMI for a single source use you won't be able to get the full-res that this screen supports (for that it is only DP or USB C). I would say that this screen is a bit small to use long-term two PCs in parallel. If this is the case maybe you should look into the bigger options from LG I think they support PBP as well.

Hi Martin, I'm delivering virtual training by using PowerPoint slides for the participants and the presenter mode for myself, and for the communication Zoom/ Teams. Therefore I need 3 screens to do this properly. The first screen will be my laptop, and what you can achieve by plugging your laptop twice (2) into the LG monitor is getting the PBP mode. This splits the LG monitor into two "real" screens but without a bezel. This gives you the possibility to share a piece of your LG screen while you use the other half for the presenter mode. At least that was possible on the LG 49 inch that I tried a while ago. This is my use case, so therefore I'm still interested in the PBP for 1 laptop with 2 cables. If you have a chance to try this for me, I would really appreciate it!

@@serkanyilmaz85 ahh now I understand. Ok, I just tried it and it is working fine. The only issue as expected is that you see your taskbar two times on the same screen (for Windows, not sure about mac) I tried it with DP and HDMI and with USB C and HDMI. Should do the trick for Zoom/Teams.

have you ever connected this to a ps5?

No, they are still not in stock around me so I am stil rocking my PS4 XD but if you are asking if it will work with this monitor, most likely no, the 5k2k resolution is not supported over HDMI and as far as I know the PS5 doesn't support a 21:9 resolution as well. So if you want to use it to play on the PS5, better spend that money on a nice TV or a dual set of gaming monitors.
