To all these people complaining about the price, this is a 4k projector that is versatile with features no one else has. It's already cheaper than most of the competition. I mean, I see people spending $3k+ on a 75". This can literally turn your entire wall into a TV.
I absolutely HATE it when reviewers tell me about the "great" sound quality of a projector!! I DONT BUY A PROJECTOR TO PRODUCE HIFI SOUND GOD DAMMIT!!!!!!!!! PS: In fact I could gladly buy a projector without any speakers what so ever.
Having a decent~great sounding speaker (speakers) is a definite plus for a PORTABLE device like this. Knowing the size of great sounding speakers nowadays, I wouldn't be surprised, if it actually sounds more than decent. I surely don't want to drag around a hifi system, which beats the concept of "portability."
@@user-wq3jv5et8d Paying $2499.99 for a Portable projector is idiotic. Most people pay this price for a home system that you would hook up to a comparable 7.1 or Atmos sound system. So point made is correct IMHO
HDMI is better for audio as it’s a higher bandwidth link than toslink. Old toslink can only do 1.45Mbit/s for fully uncompressed LPCM in stereo whereas HDMI can do a full fat 7.1+ channels of uncompressed LPCM
TIME's Best Inventions of the Year led me here. We can project a movie on the ceiling. That means we can watch a movie, lying down on the bed. What an idea!
This is one of the best ideas that LG has been able to continue for more than two decades I did not see a projector that has that high definition and quality, definitely there if there is no way you can be harassed, much less be seen by the camara oh listen to your private conversation when you least imagine it, definitely a good idea,
At 2:13, you mention that the optical audio connection is the best audio connection, this is INCORRECT, this projector has a HDMI ARC port, which you show before this, which is far better quality than optical. Optical should not be used anymore for audio if you can help it, as it doesn’t provide the bandwidth of HDMI.
Arc can sometimes be 5.1 but most of the time its just 2 channel. But you're right if you get lucky with a 5.1 arc link, that would be the best option.
@@nilodev9310 In the case of the projector you are reviewing, you cannot get Dolby Digital Plus through SPDIF, you can only get it through HDMI. So again, to say in your review that SPDIF will provide the best quality, is incorrect. Unless you have evidence that 'most of the time only 2 channel works through HDMI ARC' then I don't think that's the case either. HDMI is specifically used for the better formats, since SPDIF/Coax cannot support the better formats of audio.
David Hancock oooh ok so since when the "new" audio formats are inherently better?? They're not...optical supports 5.1 24 bit / 96 khz audio. That's more than enough audio quality wise, if you know ANYTHING about audio. Truth be told YOU wouldn't be able to distinguish between a 320 kb/s mp3 file and a 16bit 44.1khz cd quality in a BLIND TEST. Yet you're here sayin' optical 24 bit at 96khz is NOT ENOUGH and it's inherently worst than the new formats over Hdmi 🤣 The new formats...10.2..Atmos and so on, are just that..new formats to make people buy new shitty 500$ receivers and shitty 100$ speakers to be hanged on the wall cause that's "better" 🤣 it's not. Walk into a hi-fi store and see how many sell receivers and the shitty speakers for Atmos...none 😂 they're found at BestBuy bungled up with a shitty Denon receiver. It has NOTHING to do with quality per se. Now, if you can afford an Atmos system made with McIntosh amps and B&W speakers and subs in a 10.2 configuration, then yea, that would be better. But 99% of the people using these new formats use them with shitty 100$ speakers and 10.2 AV receivers they bought in the mall.
you were too kind to this piece of crap. Obviously, getting the unit for free from the company helped persuade you to say nice things about this projector. you should be a politician..."for sale, at any price" DISLIKE
extremely cool! 100% not worth the price tho.. especially something that doesnt have interchangeable bulbs..u can get a epson for far less with the same picture quality if not better, the only sacrifice would be the size and slightly the portability. lg is going somewhere with this.. but as a projection lover, interchangeable bulbs are a must! not a option
How do you get sponsored by a company? Having a review channel is not the answer I'm looking for. Do you have to contact the companies and speak to whom and say what to them? I have a few comments about your review. The product does have Bluetooth and you can wireless connect to external speakers but you glossed over the point that the coax port is not just an AV in port, it has from what I have heard a TV tuner built in. I actually would like to know more about this feature and the options in the menu's. ATSC etc. One other Con about this product is that in making it a portable setup, they failed to incorporate internal power. A battery system. You go threw all the hard work to make the system portable but fail when it comes to power sourcing. Reluctantly being chained to a power cord is a handicap when we are talking about portability. Also, you never went in depth as to the WebOS's apps store and what software or games could be found in it. I feel that you did a good job on the review but did not do an in depth job because the question I ask are basic questions people ask and were not addressed. Thank you for your time.
In 14 years I will buy sth new, which can do 8K and consume less power and has software on it which still works and is secure. In addition in 14 yrs you might have another navigation concept than a remote - so I‘m totally fine with 14 or even 7 years....
Lol....you will NEVER gain anything from 8K....just a marketing ploy as usual....there are more pixels then in the back of your eye....check it out....S'truth...
Judging from the title I could tell something is fishy here so I didn't watch the video and went straight through the comments and yes I'm glad I didn't watch the video
This time 20 years its a fake led or laser works.... ok !!! but DMD chip works fine 3-5 years and must be replaced and howe its a cost new one 4K DMD dlp chip ??? Sound from projektor ? If this is for cinema hdmi its conected too home theater amplifier 5.1 or 7.1 you dont need sound from projector and BT
LG sent this to you AND paid for your “review”? Look, no doubt it’ll be an amazing product-albeit pricey-and I appreciate that you disclosed that, but to pretend that the paid “review” doesn’t influence you in anyway is juvenile. It’s like those sexy drug reps at doctor’s offices-those pharma companies don’t invest millions of dollars because it doesn’t work. It absolutely doesn’t work in their favor no matter how much we’d like to think otherwise. This “review” is nothing more than a paid advertisement.
20000 hrs = 2.4 years of lamp life. 3000 + Tax. 2.4 years of x subscription Netflix, Primevideo, Tv Cable,Ps4 & Xbox one games, Blu ray movies. INTERNET BILL.etc In dollars =?????
Lmaoo I was just about to buy one until u told me u can't replace the bulb... What a load of crap and now worthless... That goodness I watched until the end..
Way to expensive. Plug a £300 HD LED 1080P PROJECTOR into yr console or blu ray player. You'll have pretty much the same thing. Can't change bulb?!! 😂 money down the plughole m8
$3000 for that!! Man that thing is ugly as sin!! I think I'd rather spend my money on an 75" tv then that.. Not to mention it probably is toast after just a few years..
