Welcome to an LG support video. Here, we will demonstrate how to properly install the pedestal for both your LG washer & dryer. Please be careful when lifting machine and never perform this alone.
Thank you! Couldn’t figure out how the dryer and pedestal (purchased a refurbished one) as the screws had nothing to lock into. Needed the clips shown in this video. Much appreciated!

HELP: The bracket holes on Washer and Pedestal Washer are not aligning. The legs on the Washer are fully retracted. To give you an idea I practically have to screw up at a 45 degree angle to attach brackets, but can only do that on one side. FYI I did not screw them in fully bc they do not align, just providing description. All video show screw holes on brackets aligning perfectly so why why why are we having this issue?
Make sure you measure vertically that there is enough room. I didn't. Delivery company brought in the washing machine. Then measured 27" above that, and said there isn't enough room. "Oh", and I refused the pedestal. After they left, *I* measured. The pedestal is a 27" SQUARE, not 27" TALL as the box indicates. Delivery people did not know this. When I called, they said it wouldn't fit, and refused to come back out. So measure first, and if it fits stick to your guns when they tell you it won't fit. I have nothing but expletives for them.
@@meganzepp6020 Yes! You can find them here: encompass.com/item/7672740/LG/MEG41151001/ I actually contacted LG directly and this is one of the sites they sent me to.
I have LG units that are about 10 years old that I am getting ready to move. Are the pedestals solid under the bottom so you can slide a hand truck under it without removing the pedestal nor bending it with the hand truck? Thanks
This LG video fails to mention that not all dryers come with the inserts in the bottom that allows using those white plastic inserts. We just bought a new 800$ dryer that the sales guy said would fit on the pedestal. He was dead wrong. Models like DXE 3400 will recieve the white inserts. The 7100 series will not. I think that only stackable dryers will recieve these inserts
Very Bad Design by LG. Lifting250 LBS of washing machine by family members is not possible. People may get hurt on their back. Outside labor cost $350.
See my comment above about the delivery company refusing to acknowledge their mistake and refusing to come back out. I have a big, burly stepson. No way *I* could do it. So I paid the fellow who has done a few odd jobs for us around the house to be the other half of the muscle. Between the two of them, they picked it up with little trouble. You can hire 2 handy men (not old guys like me), pay them $25-$50 for 10 minutes of labor. Have sliding pads under the pedestal. None of the rest is complicated or requiring of muscle.
