Hi, this is 10.5 kg machine. Usually, that movement occurs (only during SPIN) due to -------- 1) Imbalance due to levelling at the time of installation. Many installation people do not do this correctly or perfectly. If the machine is levelled properly by adjusting the leg/s and tightening, movement will not occur. 2) If the clothes inside cause imbalance. If we put heavy and light clothes together and if these go to opposite sides of the drum, then machine will move while spin operation. This can be avoided by putting clothes in such a way that weight is even around the drum. Some machines have some system by which it tries to balance these clothes for some time before spin, but if the loading is really uneven, then even this balancing is beyond the machine. During some cycles, my machine moves even now. At such times, I stop the machine and balance the clothes; then this movement stops. But this is quite rare as I have mastered the art of loading clothes evenly over the years. In fact this issue is for all brand washing machines and not just LG. Earlier I had Samsung machine for more than 7 years and I have faced this problem even in that. Hope this info helps. Thanks.

Hi Srinivas, This feature is not provided in all models. This is not a washer dryer model, but just a front load washing machine with spin dry option.

@@BhuvanaAdi Okay. These days the lower capacity models come with a steam option but don’t necessarily have a steam refresh mode. I was thinking that maybe this program is not enabled by default but maybe downloaded using the NFC option provided in these washing machines. Do you have any idea about that? Have you tried downloading additional wash programs on your model?

@@srinu57 I have the 8kg model of this LG washing machine, the LG F4WV708P1E, and according to the user manual it has the program "Rinse+Spin" set by default on the button that says "Downloaded Cycle" (or Download/New, the name varies by model). I also checked the LG website and the App (I'm using the LG ThinQ app connected to my washing machine), and you can definitely download the "Rinse+Spin" program from there separately if you don't have it yet. I think this is partly what this Steam Refresh cycle in the video shown is. The "Rinse+Spin" program has the washing cycle disabled (temperature setting LEDs are off), a bit of cold water is being pumped in, clothes are being tumbled around a bit, water is being pumped out, and then your clothes are being spun again on whatever speed you have set (400-1400, or maybe the spin speed is fixed for this particular "Rinse+Spin" option). Total time for this is 19min exactly like in this video. However, I believe the actually "steam" release happens in the 10 minutes AFTER the "Rinse+Spin" cycle is done, just like shown in this video; The washing machine is still locked for another 10 minutes and clothes are being steamed. The problem for my model specifically is that even though the Steam option is available for several regular presets (you can basically add or remove the "steam" option freely for most programs by clicking or unclicking it), you CAN NOT add any options to downloadable cycles, and since the "Rinse+Spin" cycle is a download...I can not Rinse+Spin+Steam. Maybe I'll email LG and ask them to make Steam selectable for downloadable cycles. That would fix it. But until then, the 10.5kg model which has this Steam Refresh combo preset is the only one that can do it.

@@VladimirMizich what's the difference between that and doing wash+dry, with no soap, + steam on? Time I guess, I checked and it's 1-2hours vs 20 min. I agree wish you could turn on steam for downloaded options. But thank you for the work around idea 💡

@DonDon cooking, the user manual of this machine says cotton mixed, polyester mixed dress shirts, blouses as the fabric type for steam refresh. I think in your case, I am sure the cotton can withstand steam refresh, but for viscose, it would be better to go with the wash care instructions label on the garment. Thanks.

Although it wets the garments slightly and then steams them, there is no mention whether it uses hot water. The drum rotates but at slow speeds only. Thanks.

Not necessary but if one wants, one could use a very small quantity of detergent.

Hi I just checked in the LG website and manual and it seems like your model has got steam option for only two programs - Allergy Care and Baby Steam Care. It does not show Steam Refresh program and it does not show steam as an option for the programs on the left side of dial like Cotton, Cotton+, Mix, Easy Care & Duvet. Since the website at times show the same photo for different models, you will need to check whether this is correct or it is really available. Please check whether steam/steam softener option is available on the options touch panel in your model. If no, you will have to see whether allergy care or baby steam care program works for you. Anyway many models in LG are similar in features, functions, programs, control panel, etc. What could be different is the capacity/size of drum ,etc. depending on the size. Thanks.

To the extent I used it, it did not shrink any clothes. As the manual mentions, it is suitable only for cotton mixed, polyester mixed dress shirts and blouses. And remember this is not a regular wash cycle to be used everyday. It is not a substitute for regular washing. This is a refresh cycle perhaps needed to be used occasionally. Hope this helps. Hi Sundeep, Since it has different programs with temperature options, it has an inbuilt heater to heat the water. All these washing machines have heater. I do not understand what you mean by extra heater. Thanks.

No I would not recommend this. For washing pure silk, please follow the garment manufacturers wash instructions or go for dry cleaning.

Hi Mansi, please remember this is not a dryer and it does not have built in dryer. It does spin drying after which you have to line dry the clothes. Depending on the fabric, you can choose spin rpm upto 1400. You get models with dryer. Thanks.

Hi Vijay Kakade, I read somewhere that in India, star rating for washing machines, microwave ovens and dishwashers are not mandatory but voluntary. So we will find the star rating sticker only on some models. I could not find any difference between the 2 models mentioned by you. Almost all features are the same. May be it is a newer model or it is just a different colour. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Hi Ramesh, do you have this washing machine model? If so, you can find the cleaning instructions of the washing machine interior, exterior, water inlet filter, drain pump filter, tub clean, dispenser drawer etc in pages 36, 37,38 of the manual. Thanks.

After steam refresh, it could have small amount of moisture, it would be a better idea to iron and wear. Ironing will remove the wrinkles. If you have time, you could dry in sun.

If you feel it is dry, you can use it as it is. Whether it is fully dry or not depends on the fabric.

Sorry for the delayed reply Savta. The steam refresh programme is not a wash programme. It helps to remove wrinkles within 20 minutes with steam. The clothes may become wet. They can be hung for drying for 10 - 30 minutes, before wearing. The fabrics that can be loaded in this programme are mixed cotton, polyester dresses, shirts, blouses etc. 3 at a time. Thanks.

While loading the clothes just check if the load is balanced properly in the drum. Also check if the legs are adjusted properly.

Kapde machine mein load karte waqt gumaakar dekh lijiye balance teek hai ki nahi. If the clothes are not balanced, this can happen.
