2:35 holy shit! that level of detail from sony is godlike for a phone. People often compare cameras by auto settings but fail to realize what xperia phones can do with professional controls over their cameras. Anyone with good photography skills can take better pictures with XZP.
I heard lots of "natural" on XZ Premium, it captured great photos even without OIS. Sony got me this time. Though its screen ratio is not a big deal for me but it's time to move from Samsung. :-)
michigan1777 I know. I said so, but it's also software based and not true hardware stabilization, so it will always use higher ISO settings to compensate which makes pictures look too noisy.
Aan Shovon i was about to comment se same, where i work sony guy did a demo of xzp and he was almost only talking about the screen and that the xzp is the ONLY SMARTPHONE WITH 5 AXIS IOS!😅
Keep in mind the XZ1 and especially the XZ1 Compact has the same camera as the Premium! XZ1 Compact is probably the best one-hand phone to this date, with almost all the premium features of the Premium except the 4K screen and 64 GB memory. But hey one-handed use is soooo convenient and people have forgotten how nice it is.

I just love the new touch "focus and exposure" in automode on Xperia! Its like manual and selective HDR but in automode. Just touch the darkened area(shadows) and voila... an hdr shot focused on the part you want. Or touch the brighter area(for ex sky) and voila... darkens the surrounding and adds color/dynamic range/contrast to the focused area even more. Superb!
Of course Sony XZ.The best camera in universe) And in the history of mankind. Technology, functions and infinitely everything else-at the level of microatoms. And this is only in one lens. God- is not a camera.
I know the S8 edges (no pun) out sometimes but i am a fan of flat colors and contrasts. XZP is the definate win for me. (i use XZ currently). I know many people like contrast and punchy colors but I personally like adding them in Post if needed.
qunfdh dream Try fitting stereo speakers in a bezelless phone, or gaming in landscape. I love those bezels. Never any accidental touches anywhere. No blocking the speakers when gaming or watching videos. I hope Sony never loses the bezels.
That's we can see, how DXOmark tests the Xperia camera`s, with a tripod.) But in real live 99% users take pictures with hands, that because we see such overrated ratings for Xperia`s of DXO guys. In low light, without a tripod, xperia easly loses even iPhone, but with a tripod, xperia at their level. PS. in fact with a tripod you will not walk all day)
XZ Premium, because I like my pictures natural looking. I don't like oversharpened or oversaturated pictures. So Sony for the win. That 960 fps motioneye is a nice bonus.
You need to open camera settings and there you should Soft Skin Effect toggle. Because it is there in my Xperia C5. You should be able to get rid of softening.
I believe Dual Pixel comes with the sensor, not Samsung stuff. Moto G5+ and Zenfone 3 Zoom have dual pixel too. Dxomark always gives higher score of autofocus to Sony. Since Z5 all high ends have 95 points. No Samsung has score that high.
XZ Premium is my choice. Daylight shots- I prefer 19MP of sony for details and sony's natural colours. Night shots- I will use Manual mode with 12 MP option. Front camera and video capture- No competition there. Sony smokes s8 and g6. G6 has very average stabilization with artificial colours. S8 has wobbling effect with very average stabilization. Sony is perfect with steadyshot and natural colours.
i had xperia z5, and to be honest the stabilization wasnt really that great. If you walk on the straight line without panning then its ok, if you pan then we have "robotic" movement and a little lag. To me iphone 6s plus had the best stabilization then maybe s7 edge. Didnt tried xz premium yet, but thinking on getting one. Btw typing this from g6, and its camera is worse than g4's both the selfie and the main one. I think LG needs an software update here.
Sony has always been the best, and for some reason it doesn't get the media attention like Samsung or iPhone. Sony user since 2009 and I'll never changed. Always ahead of all competition
Pleasantly surprised that Sony finally fixed it image processing and is finally a balanced camera. Yes, the lack of OIS, the narrow aperture and small pixels mean it has to use a faster shutter speed at higher ISO but it's still at least good in low light. Panoramas - fixed, corner softness - mostly fixed, selfies - great, video quality and stabilisation - great as always. The 960fps is not reliable at timing due to the memory buffer limitation but it's nevertheless an incredible feature. Overall I think the Sony's camera is back in the game if not quite the best. Props to Sony for the good job, but more improvements such as ISO settings in Manual mode itself, .raw support and better noise reduction algorithma, screen flash are needed.
I love my xz premium. The one thing I love and what most people won't pick up on is the audio tech sony have put in to this phone. Really blows away samsung. If you are an audiophile the xz premium is ideal.

Sony XZP wins in every single category. Once u learn to manually set, low light has zero problems. Sony doesn't get love in the USA. Everyone pushes Samsung and Apple which is ridiculous propaganda. Sony XZP is the KING of ALL phones to date. This phone is scary fast, the sexiest phone I ever seen. It has it's few flaws, US version (Fingerprint) and (WiFi calling). Fingerprint is simple to add anytime. Thank you Sony, been waiting for this gorgeous phone for awhile now. I will ALWAYS buy Sony, nothing else matters....
Just bought this phone, even in 2018 it outperform most of other flagships. Biggest surprise is fact that it uses face unlock what Apple calls innovation in their X... Shame. Even bigger surprise nobody talked about this, even function itself is deeply hided.

the girl seems BIAS..she keeps saying that BLAH BLAH wins the round but when that phone obviously LOST, she would say its a TIE... come on! For me though, Xperia XZ Premium wins OVERALL :)
agnidipta hom roy yus.I hace Xperia XZ only and when you use all option from camera,she make better photos then what we see here.On all test people thont know to use Sony camera!
Kendra Armstrong because sadly you dont know how to use the potential of g6 i got g4 g5 and g6 and i can beat them with any of them she shot the photo with 1 shutter lg has 30 shutter while sony has 1 sadly and samsung has 10 in real low light i have competed against them and g6 blew them away ask people like Juan Bagnel who actually know how to use phone cameras
08ysin I agree with them because for its money you get more features with XZP than S8 and G6. Not to mention it doesn't lag after some time of usage like the galaxies.
Comedy Komplek honestly no.. i own it. the camera ui is horrible. you don't have a simple hdr more. you need so many extra steps to get somewhere. when moving and taking a picture it shows because of the lack op ois... then low light without a tripod it is pretty bad.. and the "superior auto" can create weird results.. and all this with a very slow shutterspeed compared to the others
