In this video we explain how to diagnose drain motor problem on LG top loaded washing machine and how to check correctly the drain motor, remove it and replace. It will help to do it your self.
A very precise, clear explanation and tests performed by you Brother Ravi! You took extra care in warning the viewers about the dangers of 220 Volts AC which can be fatal if negligent! I feel with an older machine, the time will come eventually when the drain motor got to be replaced if dirty water does not drain out! Thank you so much!
Very methodical video. My own LG washing machine is facing this same issue, this video will be helpful when troubleshooting. Abans quoted 18000 for replacement, but that's highway robbery.
Hello Sir, your video is very good and easy to understand. I also have the same washing machine, but the problem is that 'motor/drum/pulsator are running continuously'. After 30 seconds around, smoke comes from below (near to gearbox/motor/drain pump), and then I switch off the power supply. Could you please help with the reason and fix? Let me know if you are comfortable in talking on phone. Thanks in advance, Sir!
If ever some of you encounter that the drain is always open even when washing, check the hook of the drain motor if it is properly aligned, it happened to me such that it is over pulling the drain plug during wash :)
Very informative sir, how about LG fully automatic machine not holding water, the water from the inlet continously flow and water kept coming out of the drain hose, I check the drain motor and saw that the motor doesn't stop waorking closing and opening the drain continuously, does it mean the drain motor is defective?
Hi Ravi Fix. I have the same model washing machine but it has been acting weird for the last few days. In automatic wash and rinse mode, is not retained in the tub and it fills and drains out at the same time. Also in manual mode, it does the same sometimes. But sometimes it works fine in manual mode. Can you help me diagnose the issue?
Hi ravi... My LG Top loader WF 750 auto power off during a cycle. One I press the start button and it works for a minute or so and then shuts down completely. What could be the problem? Any idea?
My thought exactly, but b4 removing I just checked the plug base and to see there was corrosion. Checked with multimeter and there was voltage drop. After replacing base and plug top, it worked. Thank you for your reply.
