Worked perfectly, thank you. I was given a Toshiba 50UA2B63DB TV and told I could have it if I could fix it as he'd already bought a replacement. I was considering taking it to a repair shop tomorrow when I found your video with an almost identical picture problem. The layout is different but the principle was the same. I don't know if you mention it anywhere but it was 8 connectors covered up, had to pause and count them. Mine was the data ribbon on the left and the 1st 8 connectors left to right. With trial and error I found the right spot on about the 5th or 6th go. Thank you again.
It works. Use adhesive paper tape cut to 7mm wide. If it does not work on one ribbon, try on the other ribbon, at the same place - at the inner corner.
It works for my LG 47" TV. Hard job! I try 8 times to apply the tape. Share my method-- don't cover first 2 pins. make tape width 4-6mm and apply from 3rd pin. there are two types of wires- 50p or 51p. so you need to try 4mm to 6mm with pin pitch increase to get the best result.
This video guided me, thanks. The VGH line was partially shorted. With all screen flexes connected it had 18V instead 25V. I just separated it using tape and tv came to life.
Tried it on my 55in LG TV and what can i say, i was doubting but it really worked. Took me a while to find the location but it works now nicely. Don’t know why but who cares.
I used a simple thin sticky tape and made 2mm x 10mm strips and placed them radomly until i found the right place. It took me about 15min and 10 different locations. Cheers
Kind of worked for JVC LT-58CA810. Started from leaving first and then second open, closing a bunch from 2 to approx 10. Then moving around closing 1 to 8-10. Ended up covering only the first one and it worked, however there is a barely visible line colour dependant remaining, which is fine with me, especially compared to the original problem. Thanks for the guidance in the video!
What a relief !!! It was a zero cost DIY for my LG although I had to try 5 times to locate the ribbon connections to be taped. ( In my case the defect was horizontal lines on the screen and taped (C2) the top ribbon.) Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic! It took me a long time to get it right, but in the end I got there. For me, it was the other ribbon. Your trick saved me the cost of a new TV. Thank you. I hope the workaround lasts a long time. ;)
But with this solution the TV was updated without having any more problems? Or will he do it again in the future? In the sense of making the lines pop?
hi need help bro what about oled lg cx 55 have a horizontal white stripe at bottom not very noticeable so any fix or way to minimize it and my concern if this tv will get worse over time or risk to stop working !? to be honest i found a deal running about 2 year with a very good price and i cant affroad new :)
Thnk u so much this is exactly wah is wrong with my lg screen the picture isn’t perfect and all the tv technicians I called said I would have to change the screen…
We have one of our TV''s a hitachi smart tv,with a translucent band across the bottom approx. 2 inches high, I think it's a manufacturing induced fault with the contact strips on the screen, so won't be fixing it when it pops, it will be a spares tv
I’d love to know as well! Anyone not just guessing here? My guess is that there are some contacts duplicating each other like Line1A and Line 1B and once 1A malfunctions, it needs to be cut for the line 1B to take over. But just a wild guess. Would like to hear a professional
I believe this is a temporary fix of the T-CON board as theses cables connect from the T-CON to the main board. So if you want it fixed for good replace the T-CON and T-CON cables.
Hi I clean my lg oled then didn’t want to turn back on I unplugged it and try 2 days later and it works with a little bit of horizontal lines on the bottom right. Then the image was perfect for 1h30 minutes and it turned of and wen I try to turned back looks like it’s going to turn on but I doesn’t can you please have an idea on how to fixed that it’s like it goes on a safe mode or something. Anyway thanks for the video you post that’s really cool to help people like that.
The cleaning liquid is flowing into the glued ribbons from the screen panel (this are orange ribboncables directly from LCD) There is many from this type, and are located on the bottom of the screen, connected to a small pcb on the bottom of the TV, mostly under the speakers, covered with a plate. Disassemble the plate, and search wich glued ribbon is faulty, with switched on tv, try to fine push the ribbon cables to the panel, with a bank cards edge. If the stripes disappears, you have find the faulty piece. you must then make something (rubber stripe or silicone stripe) that continous push the ribbon to the PCB after reassembly.
Samsung will sell it to you but the cost is about the same or more than a new TV depending how old yours is. A screen replacement is never worth it unless replaced under warranty (which doesn't cover physical damage).
hah normal that this is a defect of the screen to fix it 100% you have to replace the screen which costs money also this is a repair that we have fixed, let's say 90% working
I Was Moving My 55 inch canyon Tv And I Press The Screen it's Not Cracked, But It First Has Lines Then It Turns White With A black Splash, but above The Screen I Can See people on the Screen Can It Be Repaired
The screen has pixels inside with nano capacitors which makes the screen to show, the pixels are connected in linear series. When any line of the pixel is short-circuited, it affects the entire screen. What he did was to disconnect the faulty line.
Ciao ho risolto il problema....ma dopo qualche mese, sono comparse due linee in orizzontale nella parte inferiore dello schermo. Come posso risolvere? Grazie
@@ciciaritociciarito9054 mo' ci provo ma ho l'impressione che dovrò comprarne un altro. Hanno un timer: dopo 2 anni e qualche mese partono, mi è successo anche con il precedente
