@@GrantLikesTech I never used the V50, but I have the V60 and it has good cameras but it usually takes more effort to get the shot I want. And on auto mode it always seems to use a slower shutter speed than it should so I end up getting blurry shots when trying to take photos of my 5 month old

@@TechTimeMass That's all LG phones. You have to use the manual mode for that reason. It's annoying. I think they mostly worked on the video side of things. Which is good if you prefer vids over pics

Hey i bought lg v50 i also have v30. It seems lg v30 is brighter has a better wide cam and a front cam. Why is that Pretty disappointed I have the korean variant does that matter

That is disappointing, not sure why that is. The V30 wide angle has a wider field of view if that's important to you.

Can Somebody please lend their V40 to Grant for a couple of days ?? Had I the phone, it would be on his hands. Cant help but imagine the tripple comparison between the different generations, in terms of video and audio, both daytime and nightime. No other content creator that I am following has done that, and Grant seems the ideal person to do it. Any volunteers ?

Just imagine if LG used the camera algorithm of the V50 with the newer sensor in the V60 with just a few minor tweaks and the current improvements, it would be game over for a lot of other camera's. I love my V60 it's a good camera, but V50 reveals so much about it. Awesome video!

I'm leaning on the V50 for daylight but here the V60 took some good wins except for video. I understand the 64 MP sensor is new to LG and requires more camera software development. Nice comparison!

Looks like im gonna stick longer to LG. Planning to get the V50 coming from G7. LG user since G2 and Nexus 5. I keep coming back to LG although i hate its UI, Software Update and lack of custom roms but i really love their Quad Dac since i love listening to music in the office and also their full manual camera controls.

Quad DAC is definitely better on the V50 over the V60.

I gor V50 a few months ago with a 2 year warranty from LG.. Best phone I've got. It destroys my brothers Iphone and my old V30

Bro , i have the V50 but i can tell u from ur Video that Photo Quality and Video Quality in Both Rear and Front Camera of The V60 is Better than The V50 especially in Color Processing , the V50 kind of Bluwish and Darken a bit the Photo and Video still amazing , but the V60 Produce the Colors in the best way and photos at night completely win for the V60

Nicely done. I just moved to the V60 from the V40. I'm enjoying the V60 and I pretty much keep the V60 in the dual case. I'm happy to see LG getting some well deserved attention.

I switched from v40 to v60 also absolutly love it was gonna upgrade to v50 but i happen to see if lg was coming out with something new and i seen v60 n i was hooked

The V50 performs way better in daylight, no phone is ready for night photography aside for software tricks. These large sensors they're putting on phones like the S20 and V60 series really aren't ready for mobile photography. They miss focus far too often and have way too thin a plane of focus without room for adjustment in quick point and shoot scenarios. The G8 and V50 series were absolute highlights for LG.

I don't know why people say stuff like this. Clearly better in low light and more detail in bright light at 64mp. If bigger sensors weren't better everybody wouldn't be jumping to them in recent years

At night clearly v60 is better. Daytime v50 seems better for close range shots but v60 has more details with 64mp

Only with an Panasonic GH5 you get better results, otherwise, stick with V60. Amazing device.

Wow enjoyed watching this Grant! The are near identical besides the fact that still night shots were brighter on the v60 but in 4K the v50 was lighter ... interesting I’ll wait to the end to hear your thoughts

LG doesn't update as frequently as other manufacturers, but my v50 is on Android 10 and it's been fine.

Yes, the V50 is noticably better and louder, especially with higher impedance headphones.

V50 is actually better than v60 in almost all lighting its more detail the v60 has more aggressive NR that's why its smoother for the front cam v60 is better... Btw on non-night mode shots on v60 its brighter did you use the 16mp binned mode?

Thank you for your excellent comparison between LG V50 and LG V60. It has been the best reviews about current LG cameras so far. From my view , i see photos from LGv60 better a bit. With ultra wide mode and night mode, the V60 is clearly much better and also in all video modes.

Please do a review between the Velvet and V60 and Pixel 4a. I am hesitant to buy Velvet and V60 because of mediocre cameras and I'll miss quad dac and dual screen if i buy pixel 4a. Very much confused right now.
