LG really outshone itself in terms of innovative technology with the dual-screen integrated LG Velvet. I never thought that we would have such futuristic devices on our hands in such an accessible manner. I personally love the camera design as well - the rain drop pattern is not only unique but adds a different style aspect to the phone as well.
The LG Velvet has such impressive name and design. OLED Screen and USB-C cable speaks excellent security. Its slim design is easy on hand for anyone regardless of gender and age. As time progressed smart phones at its solid-state design got stronger and each user have gotten more familiar to their phone.
i love your review, it is smartphone review! main focus is to better detail the smartphone specs for people who really want to get info about a specific smartphone!
This smartphone has all the features that one would love to have and the dual-screen in this is the best thing. One of my friends has this smartphone and I take it to play games regularly. Tell you what, the smartphone does really well in terms of its performance and the battery backup is also quite good.
This phone now goes for around €400-450 which doesn't put it up against most flagship phones in the €600-650 range while still offering 5G and Wireless Charging support, rated IP68 (water resistance), and of course an audio jack + expandable memory slot. I don't think there's a real alternative if you're looking for those features in a upper mid-range phone. Other mid-range phones do offer better cameras (Pixel 4a) and sometimes a better CPU/GPU but without most of the other features I previously mentioned.
@@feyaazad2168 around 290 to 300 and another 179 will get you the dual screen.Ebay. I was going to get it but I'm on boost Mobile So I went with the Stylo 6 because I like the big screen
Just came over from Sony to LG as Sony withdrew in my Country. This phone is amazing and will surprise all the nay sayers. We bought 3 in our family and everybody is very happy. To all the specifications chasers, realize that this chip set is well implemented and so outclasses many phones with better chip sets. This is a trick I learnt long ago with Sony vs Samsung. Samsung always better on paper, but in real life the Sony beats it with speed. Go and look on YTube at the test of the LG V60 vs Samsung S20. LG beats it! Now learn to read between the lines. Also on YTube , V60 vs Velvet speed test. The difference is milliseconds ! The Velvet is an Amazing phone . My brother in law helped to set my mom's one up (she is 85) and phoned me to order himself one too ( we got them all with dual screens). Take a guess what phone he just got? Samsung S20! and he likes the Velvet more. LESSON.....Stop buying phones on specifications and reviews , go and experience it yourself! LG VELVET IS THE BEST PHONE BUY FOR 2020 , PERIOD
i think main camera 48mp imx 586 sony sensor with ois, it very good, but wide angel enough daylight, lowlight not good but can use gcam app improve, it have blue color m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nU9E3zXH9Fs.html
@@ezer0923 Yeah,I use a G8x and I have zero issues with the small notch. I don't understand that hate. Now I would love a pop-up camera instead of it being in the display but between notch and punch hole I see no true advantage either way.
The dual-screen feature by LG has probably gained more headlines that anything it ever delivered and now that LG Velvet is in the market, I think the other brands might revise their strategies a bit. Powered by Snapdragon 845 processor, I think this smartphone will surely be a great seller in India and hoping that LG would use the competitive pricing strategies as they did in the past.
*This is not Lg phone that I know 😥* *No 2k Display* *No Hi fi quad dac* *No OIS with wider Aperture* *No high quality wide angle camera* *No compact form factor* 😒😥
Hope LG would do the same to the next high end line. Bacause i would gladly fly to hongkong just to buy it open line. LG left our local market last year.
@@FAT8893 we'll see living in the US has the advantage of not only our email sites but the international ones as well. Most of the carriers here you can get the V60 for literally half off or buy one get one free or the screen case added free, but that's just one option. Even ebay is priced way below for new devices through these wholesalers. That's why I don't get it with the pricing structures with LG especially. As usual 2 months after they release a phone it's dirt cheap and priced close to the same as a new device but better specs
curved edges very reminiscent of the older Galaxy Edge phones-I had an LG V30 a few years ago,and for the most part, that one was a great phone,so this one looks like a bit of an upgrade, display looks good too
U forget to Mention that LG Velvet is the Only Phone which Record 4K amazing Selfie Video in Upper Mid Range And even there are many Failure Flagships that not Record 4K in Selfie Camera , LG Velvett is the king and the Best Camera Quality and Capabilities
"Best camera quality" only on the front. On the rear it kinda easily gets beaten by the Pixel 3a and iPhone SE... also only 1080p on the ultra wide is a joke. LG is far from that with the Velvet... And sorry but for a bit more you get the iPhone 11 which EASILY beats the Velvets camera in literally any category by a long shot.
@@Raja995mh33 re u kidding Bro ? LG Camera and Sony Camera photos and Video Camera are always Better than any other smartphones , also in the garbage iphone Se u take only one Singel Lens , u take a garbage Screen , a garbage Built Quality , a Garbage Selfie , a Garbage Audio , Also Pixel 3a u take only one lens , LG Velvett is the king with the Dual Screen and Stylus Pen for an Amazing Multi-tasking and Productivity and Gaming Experience , With an Amazing Stero Speakers , with An Amazing Screen ,So, Bro Wake up and don't Say idiot things u dont know about
@@DidYouRunAway u made me laugh really , Huwaei Camera is a Trash , their Processing Photo and Video Colors ia Trash , and Huwaei can't reach what LG Offer as Capabilities in its Phones
I was going to buy s20 but when I saw this I changed my mind because I am also in the market for hifi DAP but now that I know this new LG don't have DAC it's a no go for me, going for S20 plus
@@Pinak1264 I'm in the Philippines, what's wrong with the Samsung chip? Plus I get dual Sims here most people use dual Sims here also it's hard to get the LG parts here in the Philippines, besides Samsung and Apple only other phones that are popular here are huawei, vivo, and oppo
@@Sunsetdriver85 thanks but I actually went with ibasso dx160 player, over had LG v30 and v40, but for some reason didn't really last long for me always had overheating issues, DAC couldn't recognize when my headphones were connected and so on but it could just be me
For me, the reason why I would want to buy the V60 is because of its camera performance. That's not to say the Velvet's camera is bad, it's just not on par with the V60. The reason why I would want to get the Velvet is because it's way cheaper than the V60 with DualScreen case and its design. Not gonna lie, the Velvet is a seriously good looking phone.
I broke my brand new moto 5g ace so I decided to try this since they are so cheap now. its going to be here in a day or two. I would love to get the sunset version and even the second screen but they are nowhere to be found. I opted for the mediatek version it rates 46% better versus the snapdragon for some odd reason? So it makes it on par with the lg v50 thinq. which is right bellow the v60 so I thinQ I chose right? great review man, i appreciated it. I always use GSMarena for my tech specs, I never knew you guys did YT channel though. so SUBSCRIBED
It's only for marketing anyway... those names are only there because if their names. They don't improve anything at all. Mostly they don't even use technologies from these companies. They only use their names.
Fast forward to 2023, if only LG released most of their phones in many Asian countries like the Philippines, undoubtedly, they can beat most companies even the Chinese ones. That dual screen case is more practical than the foldable ones
Would have liked this phone to go head to head with the best ones. It's not bad though, but it lacks the same level of fine things the top flagships have. The design is the standing feature, that's a good start.
The fact that this upper midrange smartphone, which is powered by Snapdragon 765G chipset, can run Screen+ Desktop Mode really shows that Samsung has ZERO excuses to give Samsung DeX on their top-range Galaxy A series model.
Both of those can't compete with LG Velvet especially on Camera because LG Camera are the Best and u can record an Amazing Quality 4K Video in Bot Rear amd Selfie Camera and the Others Phones not , also this phone is sexier and contain IP68 Water and Dust Resistance and Wireless Charge and the othets Not ,this phone Contain the Best Audio Sterio Speakers the others only Mono Speakers ,LG has the Dual screen Case and the Stylus Pen for a beast Multi-Tasking Experience and Productivity and the Others phones not , LG Smartphones always win in All sides and No shit Phones can Compete with
Yes , 79 hours , that is pretty lack lustre in 2020 , even an old s7 edge would easily beat it with 87 hours , although it is still better than the pixel 4xl with 73 hours .
@@harysviewty it always like this with lg everyone has a different review i don't believe that some reviewers can get great performance and great speakers then v60 but yet other people say different this only happens to lg I still think this big reviewers are still upset about lg past with bootloop
Lately, I have been having a good time enjoying calming male voices in review videos. been tired of listening to squeaky anime girls voice, I guess. Oh, of course I really apreciate this review. very detailed insights. I like how LG is still giving its best keeping competition to bigger brands. this gives the marker more varieties and options
They could have remove the notch on the extra screen though.. Seriously, theres no need for notches and bezels on the second screen.. How come they didn't think of it..
You dont know a shit about tech do you.Second display has to be excatly the same as first one(from same production line),then they will have same color and saturation.Imagine one being white and another display being yellow-oled display tend to do that, every oled display is unique in color unlless they are from same assembly line. That's why second display has to be mirror like of the first one.
Hi. When SIM card 1is on 5G network, the othe SIM card 2 is working on 4G or is being disabled (like the Poco F2 pro is disabling the sim card 2). Thanks
Hai...i just new use realme c3 not to long just 48 hours i used c3. I see you the next video i like you comment. I have a question, i like smartphone realme 6 pro more interesting this device what you comment the realme 6 Pro i am the gaming. Thanks you ☺👍
I don't know if I bought a faulty device. I bought the t-mobile variant. However, the battery isn't as good as I thought. It looses 5 percent of battery with sparse browsing within an hour. And that's with extended battery saver on, and brightness set to 12%. Is this normal battery drainage for the phone? Did anyone notice this when theirs was new?
It's actually because of symmetry. When LG released the first version of this case, customers complained because the second screen was so different. So LG decided to just use the exact same screen and make it symmetrical. I asked someone from LG about that on IFA last year...
