Thanks for making this video! I have the exact same washer. I bought some "Tub Cleaning" stuff and could not find the "Tub Cleaning" button..... It was right in front of me all the time.... DUH!!
This is what I do for my top loader LG. take all your whites, socks, underwear, tank tops... whatever. Start the normal wash cycle with detergent and fabric softner. Push start and fill tub. After the machine fills push pause then off. Pour in bleach and again start a normal cycle, this will fill the tub up again to twice the amount of water and let it wash. When it stops your whites are EXTRA white and the tub smells oh so nice. White whites and a clean smelling tub, nuff said.
There is a tablet that I use called “Affresh”. I just used it tonight for the first time, and set the washer on “Tub Clean”. Hopefully, my washed clothes won’t smell like a wet dog anymore. (YES, I’ve been using detergent! 😂)
They actually make a washing machine cleaner. Examples are Affresh / Tide (not laundry detergent) But they also make a cleaner specifically designed for cleaning washing machines.
