I’m almost certain there’s a setting somewhere specifically for icon dimming you can turn off. When I got my 77” C2 I had researched and watched countless reviews and settings options because the C3 was right around the corner and I remember watching a part of a video for settings in particular a part for that exact thing the static icon logo dimming there is a way to turn that off somewhere in there I just can’t remember. I’ve never had dimming during sessions. It might even be in the game mode settings.
It is an interesting topic, as I just got an update suggestion to upgrade on my LG tv as well. Unfortunately I couldn't find any actual information from your video. Too much long-winded off topic talk, sorry.
So did you update it ? I saw it today but i didn’t update it , i was afraid that the tv become slower from updating the software like the iphone always do to us :/
@@HGooDMorninG I did update this morning. Some sound settings were changed/reset, but after correcting those everything has worked well so far. Haven't REALLY had a chance to test it though. Oh, and my TV is LG CS 65".
Yea, I am on a C2 42" as my desktop monitor, and came here to see if updating to the new OS, will screw up the ability to control the settings (I also have the service remote)
I don’t know man. I hear you and now you’re making me nervous lol… but… is it confirmed that updating to webos23 will mess with the service menu of previous generations? Great point, though! I didn’t even consider it. I also agree with @wayne39, pretty sure I heard they made game mode less aggressive as well. However, because of this video, I am now taking my TV offline from this point out. I’m not risking lg trying to pull a Samsung and force the update on us.
So turning gsr and tpc on c2 for me is for gaming does make any problems to the panel?? And can you make a video on how to customize the tv for gaming or in the game mode plz
I installed the latest web OS on C2...now the game optimazer is active but it doesn't let me choose the "standard, rpg etc.." game profiles but only standard. optimization, dark room etc...are active
Think that pertained to static brightness scenes in movies. I'm mainly referring to static logos type of dimming. I'd be glad to be wrong if disabling the things in my video are no longer necessary! I appreciate the comment and thank you for watching!
