A revert myself (Catholic background upbringing) I do appreciate your frankness and am happy that you found this clip interesting. Back more than 25 years ago I too found Islam to be beyond description in terms of negativeness. As the former commenter wrote - who has the right to determine what is right or wrong? Also ask yourself this question - if there really isn't a higher being - a creator - then everything created must be in vain?? This just can't be. Our nature (which is in Arabic called fitrah), our soul yearns to connect to the one who created everything in order to find what many of us would pay millions to get it but can't - inner peace, true inner peace and contentment. Even if the whole world around ourselves is in havoc this inner peace noone can take it away and no money can buy it. Knowing with sincerity that I was not put on this earth for nothing, knowing that the ultimate justice will one day prevail (the judgement day), knowing with sincerity that this life is just a passing phase, a preparation time for the eternal life to come.
