If the camera lens on your LG G6 Android smartphone is cracked or broken, and your picture quality is being effected negatively, then it is probably time to replace it. Luckily the replacement lenses are very inexpensive. And the whole repair process doesn't take very long.

Thanks for a very helpful video! It took about 60 seconds of heat and some tiny pliers to peel off my broken glass, cleared remaining glass fragments with compressed air and replaced with new component. And gave me a reason to buy a heat gun! Keep up the good work, you earned a new subscription and a thumbs-up from me!

lenses normally come with the adhesive pre-applied, and it would be difficult to remove the adhesive and clean the lens, and then it would be difficult to find water-resistant adhesive. Also, even if you manage to do this, your warranty wouldn't cover it if your phone were to get water damage, because the warranty only applies with the factory parts.

Thanks, Jerry! I used this video (and a few others, admittedly) to teach/psyche myself up to replace the unexpectedly cracked lens on my LG G6+ and it was much easier than I expected (I used a hairdryer with a bit of cardboard on the lid for a more "directed" airflow). It did not take much heat at all. Better than buying an entirely new LG G8 (for now, anyway!).

ive been trying to find a good G6 camera lens for forever... every single one I've ordered online has been just a little bit smaller than the actual OEM lens that the phone shipped with. I'm gonna order from the links you provided now, hopefully they're correct!
