headcanon Azula escaped the fire nation prison, renamed herself Li Ming and unlocked Arcane magic in Caldeum. She became the chosen one and is now fighting evil and now fights in heroes of the storm
Finally! So happy to see some form of Archon on her, can't wait to see what it does. Also, she totally needs a "Firelord" skin where all her attacks become fire, since she as Azula share the same voice actor.
SHE HAS THE BEST VOICE EVER! BLIZZARD YOU MAY TAKE MY MONEY!!!! For those who are confused she is just the voice of the two of my favorite characters ever: Azula from the Avatar series and Mandy from The Grim adventures Of Billy and Mandy. Love her work!
this came out far faster than i thought, thats what li ming said.... also love how arcane missiles is not only her core ability but each missle has its own pathing
+Nazael Rahl No Malthael. Leoric took his spot so there is very little chance that we're ever going to see him. And this is going to be the last D3 hero for now. D2 is coming after wizard
She's kinda in the position that Kael is in (assuming numbers aren't out of whack), but without the CC....in exchange she has a mobility. She's very poke-heavy, and can sweep up team fights. Kael, however, can end team fights without requiring having been winning it in the first place....but has to legitimately wait after he blows his load, while she can continue to sweep. On paper, she's very much a possible contender....then again, on paper Lunara was good....
+Bakhain she could be bursty, all 3(somewhere shown as 5) missile, and max range bigger ball. but the spotlight doesnt shown those bursty, but she still have the potential.
+darkwoodmovies Also, Lightning. I kinda expected them to make the D3 wizard Lightning and save Arcane for another Warcraft mage, but I guess they didn't think so.
+Stone Keyboard I don't have jaina and kael, I like both characters in WoW, I'm aware of what they can do, but didn't bother using them in HOTS, but I think arcane magic will do. lol.

+Leonard Halim Guess what, there are people who consider arcane magic to be supreme & pure and elemental like fire and frost to be primitive, I had been super disappointed if she had the skills you wanted her to have. Also Meteor would have been way too similar of a mechanic to Flamestrike and Blizzard (high damage impact after a short duration) + as you said its great, we still have the possibility to get D2 Sorceress.

Robin Wolf well yeah. arcane is more powerful. but hydra has been an iconic skill since D1. and there is also an arcane hydra too in D3. it should have been the other heroic ability after the disin. or if they want to make her other heroic as a more utility type. hydra can also be put as one of her active talent. tho not sure if it can make the talent too OP. but man. no hydra is just lame. they even buff hydra skill multiple of time in D3 so people use it more. since it's a very iconic spell/skill
+Leonard Halim I agree a bit BUT - meteor would be jut another Flamestrike or Blizzard (the Blizz dev. guy said this in a podcast) as for the Hydra - could be cool but Xul's right after and he'll have Skeletal Mage wall (which is very similar also) What I DO LOVE about her tho is that she has Teleport, if there's a talent that gives her 2 charges of that thing - would feel like Playing illusionist spec (only this time PvP) all over ;)
That passive is going to be crazy strong, expessially for a burst mage. In quick match you will find full assassin teams who would not stand a single chance against her.
well, xul will be male, but i dont see this much of a problem, i mean all fem diablo classes are strong in this game, and whats exactly the problem? Or just weird for people?
+Lance Lindle Lee Because there are too many male Warcraft heroes that are going to be added: Garrosh, Kel'thuzad, Grom, Khadgar, Gul'dan, Varian, Anduin, Velen etc
They tried way to hard to make her girly. The wizard that I know from D3 is confident and even arrogant, but has a stance of power, not some prancing, hip swaying, over-sexed runway model garbage. Otherwise that's my only complaint. Nailed all the signature abilities of the Wizard. Glad to see more D3 characters in the game.
so, just to compare the feel of her gameplay, Q is like Hiemer rockets, W is like most "fan" shaped skills, E is just blink, First heroic is like Vel ult and second ult is unlike anything I can think of, all tied on by the "lowered CD with kills" treatment of oh so many characters in mobas. overall, very interesting seeing this kind of hero in HotS and I can't wait to see how she plays. off to check her talents!
