Watch as I unbox the New 1000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter from Li Time. This is a great unit to power smaller appliances in a Van, RV, Camper or Boat. Our installation is in a 2018 Ram Promaster and will be located under the driver seat in close proximity to the van's starter battery. I used the empty slot in the battery compartment and installed an 125a AMG fuse. The inverter comes with positive and negative 2' 6awg crimp terminated copper lugs with 5/16" mounting holes.
The LED display shows DC power coming into the unit and the output AC voltage and watts when powered on by a on/off switch. There is an audible beep to indicate when inverter has been turned on/off as well as when approaching overload protection. 110V is supplied by 2 3-pronged outlets. The unit claims to have 2000w surge power rating but I experienced overload shutting off at 990w. I recommend that if you have applications for power demands 800-1000w to purchase the larger 2000w inverter.
In my next video I'll get into more detail on my installation and reasons for adding this to our existing electrical system. Stayed tuned as I'll be giving an update on the inverter both pro's and con's.

Appreciate you taking the time to create the video. It looked like the loaded AC voltage dropped to 99v. That seems a little low. I would prefer it to not drop below 110vac.

When it dipped below 110v it could have been the result from powering this at its max load and my alternator wasn't supplying any power as my engine wasn't running. I have a new video coming soon about this inverter so stay tuned.

It's because the van wasn't running so the battery voltage dipped into the 10's. If it was running, he'd likely keep a solid 14 or so volts and the inverter output would have been up over 110. I just installed the 3000 watt version of this yesterday and did various tests. At 2,800 watts, mine too would dip to under 100 volts before it started beeping at me, with my truck (that has dual alternators) off. When the truck was running, and outputting 14.6 volts, it never dipped below 116, even at that high output. I have no doubt the poster of this video would experience the same thing I saw, just at a lower wattage since he has the smaller brother to the one I have. It is somewhat interesting though his unloaded voltage was right at 110. Mine sits right at 121, and 50% load it runs at 118. It doesn't dip to the 116 until I get towards the upper end of it's output. Just an observation.

The first incident happened while driving and the inverter began to smoke when the main system it was charging reached 100% soc. The Li Time was outputting 0w.
