Every time I hear this, it reminds of of that overwhelming hopelessness I felt when I experienced the ending of "Tomoyo After." I just sat there and thought, "that's not fair, it's just not fair." But then again, I think that's also what Jun Maeda was trying to tell us... because life isn't fair. And we just have to try to find the beauty in it and live on regardless. Such a powerful story, very different from the original "Clannad" but still beautiful. I think this would make a good drama.
Tomoyo After is a visual novel and manga (Tomoyo After: Shining Memories). The game was never completely translated into English. It is a sequel to one of the alternative plot lines in "Clannad" - i.e. what if Tomoya fell for Tomoyo instead of Nagisa. It's Tomoyo's "After Story." The story is also just as touching and ultimately heartbreaking as Clannad, if not even more so. It's an excellent story and you can find the manga online. The instrumental of "Hope" is the game's main menu theme.
I can understand that atleast the instrumental side of this song is from Tomoyo After. Which I currently have no clue what is. I was brought here by Angel Beats! and the beautiful music that was in that anime. Funny how the world works. If anyone here haven't seen Angel Beats! I'd recommend you do so, preferrably the english dub. In my opinion it's the greatest anime I've seen. Naturally I will check out this Tomoyo After.
You should actually check out all the Key stuffs. Especially the Little Busters Visual Novel (The JC Staff version of Anime is airing, but the direction is not good).
@@ru9014 Well i'm not 100% sure but i'm doubtful it's true. I mean the song got released in 2011/2012 while the game got released in 2007. But ofcourse the song could have been shelved.
