By far the best cover I have came across on RU-vid. It gives a different feel to the song. It has a lot going on, and makes it feel as this were an original. Great job. Much respect.
I absolutely love this song!! Love all Liam's songs but by far my favorite have been listening to it over and over.. I'm going through alot and this helps me take my mind off things. Awesome job Liam!!!

@warmentality Pop is not the word I'd use. But the rock sound is creative. It is a very emotional song, and I was relatively sold on it until the chorus, because his voice is full of enough emotion that it channeled the feelings. The chorus is rather pop-py.

if you cover a cover is it still not a cover of the original? Not A N.I.N. fan myself but don't they deserve more recognition for the song since they wrote it and johnny cash as great as he is still only covered it himself. that been said good cover
your voice is good, the instrumental is very good too... but sound a little... I don't know, I can't feel the same that the original, Ok... Johnny Cash is Johnny Cash. but is the way, not just you, but everybody do some mistake, is like trying to put a 2L of Water in a Cup of 300ml... rembember this cover is the best for now that i found.
yep, you're right, thanks for the info. Maybe he felt so identified with this song, that he sang as if was his own. who never heard NIN, would believe that fact, like me, heheheh anyway... i think... the Johnny Cahs version fits better with the lyric
Good.. but.. I dunno-- I think the point of this song is strong simplicity.. and you just overdid it. Really good! But, if it just would have been your voice, an acoustic guitar and maybe some piano, it would have been amazing. Regardless, good job!
Don't particularly enjoy the backing track, not dark enough. Way to poppy for the subject matter. This song is about shooting up heroin and losing people you love, not skipping rainbows and popping in some owl city while you bite off of a snickers bar. Nevertheless, good voice. Maybe not right for this song. But good.
i think you have a really good voice for this song but i have to agree that i dont like the instrumentals you have in the background, they kind of throw off the whole feel of the song.
