This is a fantastic song. If you get the chance to see him, then you're in for a treat. He played here a couple of months ago and did an extended version, where the whole crowd was singing the words back to him. Great atmosphere.

i find i come back to this clip time and time again. i've seen Liam Finn a few times live, and a couple times with EJB as well. it's a fantastic song, and rough and crude and beautiful to watch the duo execute this large, large, sound. it's worth watching BECAUSE it is live, and not studio. moving every damn time i watch and hear it.
I saw this back in 2008 on David Letterman, and it was what got me into Liam Finn in the first place. I think this is a great song, so full of energy. Great use of live looping, just wish he could have made it sound fuller at the start.
O FOR AWESOME! You see performances like this and you just think, PROUD AS PUNCH to have him representing NZ in some way and hopefully kicking on to be a raging success.
For the record, I'm a huge fan of both Liam and EJB, this doesn't do them justice at all. If you can take the time to criticize then you can take the time to have a look at the official music video for Second Chance.

This was a terrible choice for a live song, I'm guessing it was because only because they were pushing it pretty hard and it was on an episode of The United States of Tara around the same time. It is fantastic on the album though. The chick is indeed Eliza-Jane Barnes, she plays a lot with him as "backup vocals", but I don't think that gives her enough credit.
