Liam Gallagher and John Squire on the Jonathan Ross Show promoting their debut album together and its second single, "Mars to Liverpool". #LiamGallagherJohnSquire #LiamGallagher #JohnSquire #MarsToLiverpool x.com/LuvIsSuchAGame
Squire is a no nonsense straightforward person, but his answers are crazy even when he says nothing! I remember when he was with the seahorses and MTV interviewed them and asked him about the stone roses, he said, "maybe i had to leave the band to write the new songs, maybe the songs weren't a reaction to leaving" or in 1988, interviewer asks, "what would you like to change about the band or yourself". John: "my clothes. once a day"
Based on all the stories and rumors I always thought that Liam was a nasty character, but he seems rather pleasant, the sort of bloke you want to have a beer with. Really like their last album.
John Squire is a fantastic artist and composer. He has a lot to say but unless you approach him with sincerity like John Peel would have then you will get nothing. And if you mock and tease him then he will shut right up. Jonathan Ross likes music so I am surprised he did not approach this differently. It was a lost opportunity.
Well I am, and think he should've just played the song and not gone on the couch. The Roses in their 20s being surly in interviews was cool back in the day but sitting there at the age of SXITY ONE doing that is just a bit embarrassing. If he's not comfortable doing a TV interview then he shouldn't have done it.
Eu intendo Liam.
At the start (not shown here) was a poor introduction showing a flock of geese one at the back strutting , Liam was not amused probably because he just had two hip replacements very bad start to the show🎸💙
John Squire IS God! He is just SO cool He doesn't have to say or do anything but when he does they are gems. "Theres sheep there but I'm hands off!!" 😂
Love Squire, and I know he's always been like this, but if you're gonna agree to go on a chat show, you can at least make a bit of an effort. You know what Wossy is like, either do the show or don't do the show.
@@johntonner1256 yeah he's awful, but Squire agrees to do all these interviews and says nothing. He clearly doesn't want to do them, which is fine, but just don't do them. I get that "fame" and all the showbiz stuff isn't for him and he just wants to play music, but he could do just the music side of things if he wanted to.
Shows you how downhill talk shows have gone since the 70s (lDick Cavett being one of the best) when they would have a proper discussion and the presenter would have a deep discussion. We went from the new album, to dogs and meaningless conversation in about 4 minutes. You could litrally hear the preplanned script Ross had rhe way he was fireing them off them questions. Im glad John took the piss and didnt look intrested.
Passion? Love? Desire to create? Encouragement from fans? Fun? Cos they can? Cos they want to? Love for music? Love for writing? Love for playing? The list goes on...
The two musos think they way too cool. Get over ya selfs..even if ya both come from two of the most legendary UK bands of all time, ya just a couple of old pip squeak gezzers end of the day..🤣
