Although this pairing between Liam Gallagher and John Squire looks killer on paper, it just doesn't seem right. Imagine Mick Jagger forming a band with Paul McCartney....or Eddie Vedder forming a group with Dave Grohl. Yeah, it looks killer on paper but to actually see and hear it.....doesn't quite do for me
Whilst a tune like Jumpin' Jack Flash is a solid rock 'n' roll track, I think I Am The Walrus would have been a perfect ender to this Liam/John collab. But that's just me.
Rob Halford of Judas Priest is 72 and sings better than Gallagher. This is poor range and control. He's always sounded terrible live without studio gimmicks.
I got a review of the first gig at Glasgow Barrowlands, knocked it out the park. There's a growing sense that having an 'actual' lead guitarist beside him means he's finally arrived. 😄🎸
