I feel like I've taken crazy pills. They really try to excuse Mercedes out of all the shit she's caused. No, she isn't an innocent parent. You know who was?Harry. And she couldn't have cared less as he told her his son will have to live his life without him. Also, life didn't screw her over, that was her own stupidity, and it was her own choice to use every single person convenient to cover up her tracks. Hollyoaks, face it: Mercedes is no victim, she's a screwed over character, if you want to fix her, you'll have to do better than blame it all on tough times.
And of course, Liam going to choose Mercedes. James was just a distraction for Liam to make Mercedes jealous. Every single time. He is hopefully in love and obsessed with her. But how is Mercedes going to pay for what she did? Can't believe that she is going to get off scot free again. And now James and Grace have to pay because of Liam's stupidity. Edit: Turns out Liam was smarter than I gave credit for. Hollyoaks sure put on a twist with cliffhanger after months of stupidity and absurdity.
Sadly I think you are right. If people use others only as a distraction then they always will decide against them and let them fall like a cold stone. ;)

Liam is even more stupid than I thought when he still believes Mercy. I can't stand him and I hope he chooses James. And than I hope James will play with him so that he falls for him and than James drops him. Ok Liam will be the fool in this scenario, too. I don't care as long as James comes out undamaged.
This was involuntarily comedic in all it`s over the top drama. That not one of those cast members turned to the director and asked: "Are you really sure you want us to play it like this?" I find surprising. James and Liam having been an item for all of what, 4 days, "you have to choose between me and her," was too freakin soon to be believable. Add the intensity in both music and how the lines were spoken and acted, this became involuntarily funny. So laughable, and so cringe-worthy, at the same time.
