Great review as always. It's always good to see new ideas from Lian Li but I think they should release a shorter version of this case for mATX builds with 280mm AIOs and short GPUs.
Amazing build i stumbled on your channel looking for reviews for this case. Your builds are magnificent! I wish I had the funds to buy watercooling like that. It will be a future project for sure.
Nice. BUT: You won't be able to get the memory out - the tubes are in the way. The memory is not cooled by a fan (we limit the memory frequency and voltage). The motherboard is not cooled by a fan - similar restrictions for overclocking the processor. There are no places with cooling and vibration protection for hard drives (try hard drives from 20TB and above - it hums like a helicopter and heats up like a stove). And the choice of installation location for the pump is not very convenient for monitoring and adding water.
Great review as usual and beautiful builds. I am wondering what pump res combo did you use in the full custom loop and did you have to drill some holes to mount it ? Is it a D5 or DDC and would both fit ?
Even if the pcie risers were a single cable it wouldn’t be so bad, but those flat ribbons are retro 80’s ugly. The cover for the cable is neat though, not sure you need 4mm Alu which is kinda overkill but a plastic cover would be fine
@GGFEvents Assuming I want to run dual GPU for LLM, is the riser cable long enough to allow a 2nd gpu to sit in the 2nd PCIE slot and still route to the back? Looking at something like a ASUS TUF 3060TI (301mm length)
Great build, but damn $150 is "affordable". Perhaps relative to the competition, but it's a shame how far case pricing has gotten out of hand. I remember buying my Define R3 and R4 for arpund $110 and that was a premium case for its time. There was a good period where you had plentiful new and exciting options from Fractal, Phanteks, NZXT, and the like in that $60-90 range.
Those cases were plexiglass, plastic, and very thin metal. Most cases use more premium materials now. However, you can still get cases for those old prices.
I tried to wait for this case, I really wanted it. But once they delayed it into 2024, I just went with the H6 Flow. Now I'm kind of regretting doing that. The white version looks so good.
