I migrated to Australia from uk 30+years ago. While we have similar issues to the uk we are not nearly as far down the slippery slope as the uk and have conversation have started already about not letting it get any further. Everyone is looking at the uk in disbelief 🫢😢. Our immigration levels are way too high as the current government took their eye off the ball and now the infrastructure is struggling to cope. They have promised to reduce it but we will see! They need to be more selective like they used to be! But because of all this I can’t see them getting a second term. The current opposition is much stronger. Tbh the uk could learn much from Australia’s immigration policy as it blows the uk equivalent right out the water. No offence but that’s not hard! I didn’t realise how unfit for purpose it was until I left! ☹ But I hopes things improve for all.
