That person covering is my MP and he’s disgraceful. We have complained many times and his standard answer is WE don’t understand the facts. The facts are he knows he’s not going to be re-elected so he’s not running again. Good riddance. Unfortunately the people here elected the Greens in the provincial election so we will see what happens federally.
The one question I don't think has been asked yet (unless I missed it), is what is the comparison cost when the US rents/purchases a condo/home for their guy/gal here in Canada? If they are spending considerably less, then why can't Canada spend considerably less? Are we trying to be needlessly showy, putting on a facade? I know several people who bought needlessly expensive homes, and while they put on a facade, they are poor and are struggling. This is a totally relevant question.
I applaud Mark Allen for his grasp of the data required to answer questions asked of him. He was very succinct despite some repeating of words while collecting his thoughts. However, I know that the 9 million is not in line with our need to reign in the excessive spending of the Singh /Trudeau administration & among the G-7.
